Vielen Dank! + + +<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Das So.Cal ist ein sehr gem\u00fctliches Restaurant mit kalifornischer K\u00fcche, tollen Cocktails, super nettem Service und stimmigen Konzept. Ich war bereits vor einigen Wochen f\u00fcr einen Drink &#8211; mitunter frisch gemachte Himbeerlimonade &#8211; vor Ort. Seit dem wurde ich au\u00dferdem von euch vereinzelt gebeten dar\u00fcber zu berichten. Darum war ich k\u00fcrzlich mit meiner Begleitung einmal zum beliebten Sonntags-Brunch und einmal zum Abendessen im So.Cal (bzw. ganz richtig \u201eSO.CAL &#8211; Drink &amp; Dine\u201c) zum Testen und kann nur sagen: Endlich gibt es ein sehenswertes St\u00fcck authentisches Southern California in M\u00fcnchen.<\/p>\n<div style=\"margin: 0 1em 1em 0; float: left; display: block; width: 340px; height: 300px;\">\n<p><script type=\"text\/javascript\">\/\/ <![CDATA[ google_ad_client = \"ca-pub-1770258545384845\"; \/* 336 x 280 Best Performer *\/ google_ad_slot = \"6442916218\"; google_ad_width = 336; google_ad_height = 280; \/\/ ]]><\/script><\/p>\n<p><script src=\"\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/show_ads.js\" type=\"text\/javascript\">\/\/ <![CDATA[ \/\/ ]]><\/script><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<h1 style=\"font-size: 15px; margin-bottom: -7px;\"><b>Der erste Eindruck des So.Cal in Schwabing<\/b><\/h1>\n<p>Doch von vorne\u2026.schon als wir ankamen fielen uns die entlang der Strassenfront aufgestellten gem\u00fctlichen Tische mit Sonnenschirmen und gem\u00fctlichen Sitzpl\u00e4tzen ins Auge und w\u00e4re es etwas sonniger gewesen h\u00e4tten wir sicherlich drau\u00dfen gegessen. Da das Wetter aber nicht mitspielte traten wir ein und wurden direkt von einem freundlichen und den kompletten Abend sehr aufmerksamen Kellner begr\u00fc\u00dft und nach unserer Reservierung gefragt. Als wir einen gem\u00fctlichen Vierertisch am Fenster besetzten wurden wir auch direkt nach dem Platznehmen mit Getr\u00e4nke-, Cocktail- und Speisekarten versorgt. Auf den Tischen liegen au\u00dferdem noch Flyer aus, welche Events aktuell und in den kommenden Wochen geboten sind. Die Speisekarten werden auf einem kleinem mit So.Cal-Pr\u00e4gung verziertem t\u00fcrkisem Holzbrettchen an die Tische gebracht.<\/p>\n<h1 style=\"font-size: 15px; margin-bottom: -7px;\"><strong>Auswahl der Getr\u00e4nke und Speisen<\/strong><\/h1>\n<p>Zuerst entschieden wir uns f\u00fcr zwei k\u00f6stliche Aperitif, n\u00e4mlich einmal einen Hugo (f\u00fcr 5,90\u20ac) und einmal einen Aperol Spicy Ginger (f\u00fcr 6,50\u20ac). Die Drinks wurden schnell serviert und schmeckten beide frisch und k\u00f6stlich, der Hugo nicht zu s\u00fc\u00df und beide mit Strohhalm best\u00fcckt. Da wir recht hungrig waren entschieden wir uns f\u00fcr zwei unterschiedliche Vor-, Haupt- und Nachspeisen von der Speisekarte. Meine Begleitung entschied sich f\u00fcr \u201eBaja California Fish Tacho\u201c mit Tilapia Filetst\u00fcckchen, knackigem Blaukraut und Avocado (f\u00fcr 6\u20ac) und ich mich f\u00fcr die So.Cal Suhsi Roll (f\u00fcr 7\u20ac) &#8211; eine traditionelle California Roll mit Krebsfleisch, Avocado und Gurke. Zuerst wollte ich eigentlich \u201eQueso Quesadilla\u201c- eine mit Cheddar und Mozzarella gef\u00fcllte Tortilla, wahlweise mit Rindfleisch oder Gem\u00fcse (f\u00fcr 8\u20ac bzw. 7\u20ac) &#8211; bestellen, entschied mich dann aber um, weil der Kellner an mir das Sushi vorbeitrug und ich schlagartig Lust darauf bekam. Die Vorspeisen wurden uns zeitgleich serviert und wir liesen es uns schmecken. Meine f\u00fcnf auf einer schicken Schiefernplatte servierten Sushir\u00f6llchen waren sehr gut &#8211; ihr braucht nur gro\u00dfe M\u00fcnder daf\u00fcr, da diese etwas gr\u00f6\u00dfer gerollt sind als das \u201eg\u00e4ngige Sushi\u201c. Da man bzw. ich ja Sushi irgendwie ungerne abbeisst m\u00fcsst ihr den Mund also f\u00fcnf mal ganz sch\u00f6n voll nehmen. \ud83d\ude09 Meiner Begleitung schmeckte die Vorspeise &#8211; der Fish Tacho &#8211; auch sehr gut. Die Vorspeisen waren schnell verputzt und haben eine entsprechende Gr\u00f6\u00dfe &#8211; nicht zu gro\u00df und nicht zu klein.<\/p>\n<p>Danach ging es dann an unsere ebenfalls vorab ausgew\u00e4hlten und bestellten Hauptspeisen. F\u00fcr mich gab es einen \u201eLa Jolla Salad\u201c &#8211; einen gr\u00fcnen G\u00e4rtnersalat mit warmen Ziegenk\u00e4se, kalifornischen Waln\u00fcssen und Honig-Vinaigrette in Hauptspeisengr\u00f6\u00dfe f\u00fcr 11\u20ac. Wer Salat lieber als Vorspeise oder zum Hauptgericht als Beilagensalat isst, kann diesen im So.Cal auch als Vorspeise in der kleineren Variante (f\u00fcr 7\u20ac) bestellen. Dies ist bei jedem Salat m\u00f6glich. Meine Begleitung w\u00e4hlte das &#8222;Grillend Dry Aged Beef Steak\u201c (f\u00fcr 25\u20ac) mit kleinem Beilagensalat und Kartoffelbeilage. Bei der Bestellung wurde nat\u00fcrlich auch nach der gew\u00fcnschten Garstufe f\u00fcr das 200g trocken-gereiftes Rinderlendensteak gefragt. Als Beilage entschied sich meine Begleitung f\u00fcr Kartoffel-Wegdes, wahlweise w\u00e4re noch eine Ofenkartoffel m\u00f6glich gewesen. Das Fleisch war perfekt Medium gebraten, die Kartoffeln waren gut gew\u00fcrzt &#8211; ich liebe salziges Essen &#8211; ausreichend von der Portion und passten gut zum Fleisch. Mein Salat war eine sehr gro\u00dfe Portion. Einfach angemacht, aber in Verbindung mit den vier kleinen Ziegenk\u00e4setalern sehr stimmig im Geschmack. Zu den Hauptgerichten liesen wir uns noch zwei Gl\u00e4ser Pedroncelli Chardonnay, Jahrgang 2010 schmecken. Solltet ihr also Wei\u00dfwein, Ziegenk\u00e4se, Sushi und Steak m\u00f6gen kann ich euch unsere Auswahl komplett weiterempfehlen. Ansonsten bietet die Karte viele weitere K\u00f6stlichkeiten wie z.B. diverse Steaks, Nudelgerichte oder z.B. auch \u201eRoasted Lemon Chicken\u201c oder auch der ber\u00fchmt berichtigte Hauptgericht-Klassiker unter den kalifornischen Salaten \u201eCobb Salad\u201c, serviert als Regenbogen aus gegrillten H\u00fchnchenstreifen, Speck, Tomaten, Avocado, Blauschimmelk\u00e4se, hartgekochtem Ei und Senf-Vinaigrette.<\/p>\n<p>Als Dessert w\u00e4hlten wir einen &#8222;California Cheescake&#8220; &#8211; hausgemacht und serviert mit frischem Himbeer-P\u00fcree (f\u00fcr 6\u20ac), sowie einen ebenfalls hausgemachten Brownie mit Vanilleeis und Waln\u00fcssen (f\u00fcr 5\u20ac). Ich kann nur sagen: Falls ihr gerne Kuchen esst &#8211; der K\u00e4sekuchen ist der Wahnsinn!<\/p>\n<h1 style=\"font-size: 15px; margin-bottom: -7px;\"><strong>Ambiente &amp; Service im So.Cal<\/strong><\/h1>\n<p>Nat\u00fcrlich steht das Essen immer an erster Stelle, im So.Cal stimmt aber meiner Meinung nach auch der Service und das Ambiente. Das Restaurant ist in kr\u00e4ftigen t\u00fcrkisen T\u00f6nen gestrichen, die Decke in einem knalligem Pink, helle Holzb\u00f6den, eine einladende Bar mit weiteren Pl\u00e4tzen und eine geschickte Raumunteilung mit abgesonderten Bereichen sorgen insgesamt f\u00fcr eine tolle Wohlf\u00fchlstimmung. Gesessen wird an gem\u00fctlichen Tischen in unterschiedlichen Gr\u00f6\u00dfen. Toll fand ich auch, dass w\u00e4hrend unseres Aufenthalts viele G\u00e4ste spontan kamen und dennoch f\u00fcr jeden &#8211; auch eine 10er Gruppe &#8211; Platz geschaffen wurde. Grunds\u00e4tzlich ist ein Spontanbesuch nat\u00fcrlich m\u00f6glich, je nach Wochentag empfehle ich euch aber zu reservieren.<\/p>\n<h1 style=\"font-size: 15px; margin-bottom: -7px;\"><strong>Sonntagsbrunch<\/strong><\/h1>\n<p>Sp\u00e4testens wenn es um den beliebten Sonntagsbrunch geht m\u00fcsst ihr reservieren, da gehen die Pl\u00e4tze n\u00e4mlich weg wie warme Semmeln. Jeden Sonntag ab 10:30 Uhr (bis 15:00 Uhr) k\u00f6nnt ihr hier f\u00fcr 17\u20ac pro Nase n\u00e4mlich super gut brunchen und kalifornisch schlemmen was das Zeug h\u00e4lt. Wie erw\u00e4hnt war ich schon einmal daf\u00fcr vor Ort und ich war begeistert. Das Buffet ist umfang- und abwechslungsreich bef\u00fcllt: Von den unterschiedlichsten K\u00e4se-, Schinken- und Wurstvarianten, \u00fcber diverse Brot-, Baguette- und M\u00fcslisorten, bis hin zu unterschiedlichen Salaten, Obstsalaten, Lachs-Wraps und sogar Sushi-R\u00f6llchen bietet das Buffet eine \u00fcberdurchschnittliche Vielfalt an. Auch kleine Pancakes f\u00fcr die S\u00fc\u00dfen unter euch und diverse Geb\u00e4ckteilchen und Kuchen (bei uns war es Erdbeerkuchen und Bienenstich) stehen zur Auswahl. Positiv fielen mir auch die Laugenstangen und das besonders dunkle Vollkornbrot auf, da oft beim Brunch nur relativ einfaches Brot geboten wird. Hier ist die Auswahl super. Dazu tranken wir frischgepressten Orangensaft (f\u00fcr 3,90\u20ac), einen Cappuccino (f\u00fcr 3,10\u20ac), einen Latte Macchiato (f\u00fcr 3,50\u20ac) und zwei selbst gemachte Himbeere Limonaden (f\u00fcr je 3,90\u20ac). Zugegeben, die Limonaden waren beide f\u00fcr mich, weil ich nach der ersten einfach nicht aufh\u00f6ren konnte zu trinken. Also: Achtung &#8211; Suchtpotenzial!<\/p>\n<p>Hier merkt man schnell, dass die kalifornische K\u00fcche eben nicht nur aus Pommes und Burgern besteht. Auch die Preise liegen im normalen M\u00fcnchner Rahmen. Und dank der leckeren Drinks und Speiseauswahl, sowie dem stimmigen Ambiente funktioniert es tats\u00e4chlich: Sobald wir sa\u00dfen, f\u00fchlten wir uns rasch ein wenig wie an der kalifornischen Westk\u00fcste der USA und man vergisst glatt, dass man nur einige Minute von Zuhause entfernt beim Abendessen ist. Sicherlich tut auch die Geschichte &#8211; welche ihr in Kurzform auch in der Drink-Karte nachlesen k\u00f6nnt eine gewissen Rolle. Das Restaurant wurde n\u00e4mlich von drei Freunden mit einer gro\u00dfen Passion f\u00fcr die amerikanische K\u00fcche und deren Lifestyle ins Leben gerufen. Mir pers\u00f6nlich ist es einfach immer auch wichtig, mitzuerleben und als Gast zu f\u00fchlen, dass eine gewissen Leidenschaft und \u201eHingabe\u201c in dem jeweiligen Restaurant vorherrscht und nicht nur Abfertigung und Konsum z\u00e4hlt &#8211; im So.Cal ganz klar der Fall. Ach ja\u2026Auch unbedingt die feinen alkoholhaltigen oder auch alkoholfreien Cocktails probieren. (F\u00fcr die M\u00e4nner gibts auch eine gro\u00dfe Bierauswahl und f\u00fcr die Weinfans zahlreiche kalifornische Weine!)<\/p>\n<h1 style=\"font-size: 15px; margin-bottom: -7px;\"><strong>Das So.Cal als Eventlocation<\/strong><\/h1>\n<p>Das So.Cal in der Occamstra\u00dfe kann auch angemietet werden &#8211; um die 70 Personen haben Platz und auch um das Essen &#8211; z.B. in Form eines Buffets &#8211; \u00e4hnlich wie beim Brunch &#8211; im separaten Raum aufgebaut, wird sich gek\u00fcmmert. Ich finde das Restaurant eine super coole Location und ich habe es auch zu meiner Begleitung gesagt: Hier bleibt man einfach noch gerne sitzen, ratscht, trinkt noch etwas und f\u00fchlt sich wohl, wozu sicherlich eben auch die gute Stimmung, der Barkeeper aus Kuba, das ged\u00e4mpfte Licht zu sp\u00e4terer Stunde und die lachenden Kellner und Menschen um einen herum beitragen. Schaut euch auf jeden Fall mal auf der Website um &#8211; dort findet ihr auch aktuelle Specials. (Dienstags ist z.B. Ladies Night, Mittwochs BBQ Night und Donnerstags k\u00f6stliche Tapas!)<\/p>\n<p>Alles in Allem kann ich euch einen Besuch in So.Cal nur empfehlen. Hier erlebt ihr kalifornisches Flair mitten im beliebten Schwabing, sehr gemischtes, internationales Publikum, viele englischsprachige G\u00e4ste um euch herum, da der Name allein nat\u00fcrlich schon f\u00fcr Aufmerksamkeit bei &#8222;amerikanischen M\u00fcnchnern&#8220; und Touristen weckt. Der Service ist super freundlich und pers\u00f6nlich. Das Essen schmeckt und ihr werden mit authentisch, kalifornischer K\u00fcche versorgt. Ge\u00f6ffnet ist von Montag bis Freitag von 17:00 Uhr bis 0:00 Uhr, Samstag von 17:00 Uhr bis 01:00 Uhr und Sonntags 10:30 Uhr bis 15:00 Uhr f\u00fcr den Brunch.
