Heute m\u00f6chte ich euch etwas ganz besonderes vorstellen. Einerseits als Vorank\u00fcndigung, andererseits als Empfehlung, da ich gl\u00fccklicherweise eine der wenigen bin, welche es schon pers\u00f6nlich erleben und genie\u00dfen durften: Das <strong>Ruinart &#8222;Upside Down&#8220; Champagner Dinner<\/strong> im <strong>The Charles Hotel, Munich<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p align=\"LEFT\">Das Charles Hotel &#8211; falls ihr es nur vom Namen oder vorbei gehen kennt &#8211; ist ein 2007 mit interessanter Architektur errichtetes f\u00fcnf Sterne Luxushotel in der N\u00e4he der Alten Pinakothek und dem Lenbachhaus. Neben &#8222;high class&#8220; von A-Z trumpft das Hotel nat\u00fcrlich auch mit erlesenen Speisen im schicken und dennoch zugleich gem\u00fctlichen <strong>Restaurant &#8222;Davvero&#8220;<\/strong> auf. (\u00dcber dieses\u00a0berichte ich euch demn\u00e4chst nochmals gesondert und detailliert in einem einzelnen Artikel.) Hier soll der Fokus das tolle Upside Down Dinner sein, welches ich wie erw\u00e4hnt f\u00fcr euch bereits vorab testen durfte und ich euch daher &#8211; gerade jetzt zur bevorstehenden Weihnachtszeit &#8211; ans Herz legen m\u00f6chte.<\/p>\n<div style=\"margin: 0 1em 1em 0; float: left; display: block; width: 340px; height: 300px;\"><script type=\"text\/javascript\">\/\/ <![CDATA[ google_ad_client = \"ca-pub-1770258545384845\"; \/* 336 x 280 Best Performer *\/ google_ad_slot = \"6442916218\"; google_ad_width = 336; google_ad_height = 280; \/\/ ]]><\/script><script src=\"\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/show_ads.js\" type=\"text\/javascript\">\/\/ <![CDATA[ \/\/ ]]><\/script><\/div>\n<p align=\"LEFT\">Bevor ich nun jedoch ins Detail bez\u00fcglich der Champagner und G\u00e4nge gehe, noch einige <strong>Fakten zum Dinner-Abend<\/strong> vorab: Das Upside Down Dinner ist gleichzeitig ungew\u00f6hnlich, \u00fcberraschend und exklusiv. Doch was ist so besonders? Der neue <strong>K\u00fcchendirektor des Charles Hotel Michael H\u00fcsken<\/strong>, der sich in seiner Laufbahn schon zweimal mit einen Michelin-Stern schm\u00fccken konnte, hat gemeinsam mit Ruinart ein Men\u00fc kreiert, welches die eigenen Sinne auf den Kopf stellt (&#8222;Upside Down&#8220; eben). Allein die Men\u00fckarte verbirgt eine ganz besondere \u00dcberraschung (mehr verrate ich euch nicht) und l\u00e4sst direkt nach dem Aufklappen auf einen tollen Abend hoffen. Das Upside Down Dinner wurde vom Charles Hotel mitunter ins Leben gerufen um die perfekte Grundlage f\u00fcr eine gelungene Weihnachtsfeier zu bieten. Bis zu 14 Personen haben gleichzeitig an dem schick gedeckten Tisch mit viel Glas und dezenter Dekoration Platz. Pro Person liegt das <strong>5-Gang-Men\u00fc inklusive Champagner und Sommelier-Fachwissen<\/strong> bei <strong>199\u20ac<\/strong>. Klar &#8211; nichts, das man jede Woche tut, jedoch das ideale Geschenk, die perfekte Idee f\u00fcr Weihnachtsfeiern im kleineren Kreise oder eben auch f\u00fcr romantische Dates zu zweit. Die Upside Down Dinner finden an drei Samstagen, n\u00e4mlich dem <strong>14. November<\/strong>, dem <strong>28. November<\/strong> und dem <strong>12. Dezember<\/strong>, sprich im 14-Tages-Rhythmus statt. Auch f\u00fcr Weihnachtsfeiern ab acht Personen ist das Event t\u00e4glich im November und Dezember buchbar. Der Start ist <strong>jeweils um 19:00 Uhr<\/strong> und sollte ich euch gleich noch mehr Lust darauf machen, k\u00f6nnt ihr (und solltet ihr der begrenzten Pl\u00e4tze wegen) sofort reservieren.<\/p>\n<p align=\"LEFT\">So. Jetzt <strong>zum Wichtigsten: Speis und Trank bzw. Men\u00fc\u00a0und Champagner<\/strong>. \ud83d\ude42 Das exklusive Men\u00fc wird bei jedem seiner G\u00e4nge von einem anderen hochwertigen und perfekt zu den servierten Speisen abgestimmten Champagner aus dem Hause Ruinart begleitet. Hierzu auch eine kurze Info: Das &#8222;Maison Ruinart&#8220; wurde <strong>1729 als erstes Champagnerhaus<\/strong> \u00fcberhaupt vom gleichnamigen M\u00f6nch Dom Thierry Ruinart gegr\u00fcndet und gilt mittlerweile als der Top Champagner-Anbieter schlecht hin. Sp\u00e4testens nach dem ersten Schl\u00fcckchen Ruinart Blanc de Blancs (zu Gang I: Petit Four) d\u00fcrfte selbst nicht oder wenig erfahrenen Champagner-Trinkern klar sein, dass hier <strong>nur Perlweine bester Klasse<\/strong> angeboten werden. Der <strong>Ruinart Blanc de Blancs<\/strong> gilt als Inbegriff des Go\u00fbt Ruinart und die Trauben stammen \u00fcberwiegend aus der C\u00f4te des Blancs und der Montagne de Reims. Er\u00a0besteht zu 100% aus der Chardonnay-Rebsorte und Noten von Zitrusfr\u00fcchten und exotischen Fr\u00fcchten wie Ananas und Passionsfrucht, gefolgt von Bl\u00fctenduft, Pfirsich und roter Pfefferbeere dominieren im Geschmack. Zugleich war der Ruinart Blanc de Blancs mein pers\u00f6nlicher Favorit des Abends. Woher ich das wei\u00df? Weil zu jedem Gang von einem ebenfalls anwesenden Sommelier des Hauses Ruinart <strong>detaillierte Informationen zum jeweiligen Champagner<\/strong> gegeben werden. Ihr sitzt also nicht nur da und trinkt ein Gl\u00e4schen hier und da\u00a0&#8211; Nein, hier bekommt ihr selbstverst\u00e4ndlich auch mitgeteilt, was ihr gerade trinkt, welche Aromen und Duftnoten euch erwarten, wozu der Champagner gut harmoniert (nat\u00fcrlich jeweils zu eurem Gang) und ein wenig zur <strong>Geschichte des Champagners<\/strong>. Fragen d\u00fcrft ihr nat\u00fcrlich auch stellen. Darum werde ich euch jetzt nicht zu jedem Champagner die Geschichte erz\u00e4hlen &#8211; sondern euch diese Freude beim Men\u00fc selbst erleben lassen.<\/p>\n<p align=\"LEFT\"><strong>Gang II:<\/strong> \u00a0Eis | Mousse | Terrine | Cr\u00e9me Br\u00fbl\u00e8e. Wie auch beim ersten Gang war das Essen ausgesprochen appetitlich angerichtet und schmeckte vorz\u00fcglich. Serviert wird nat\u00fcrlich allen G\u00e4sten parallel und der <strong>Chefkoch erkl\u00e4rt pers\u00f6nlich am Tisch<\/strong>, was sich auf den Tellern befindet und zum Champagner verzehrt wird. Als <strong>dritten Gang<\/strong> gab es ein Cappuccino-S\u00fcppchen mit Strudel vom Ochsen. Zu beiden G\u00e4ngen wurde ein<strong> &#8222;R&#8220;\u00a0de Ruinart<\/strong> (Chardonnay 40%, Pinot zwischen 50 und 55% Pinot Noir und 5 bis 10% Pinot Meunier) serviert. Ein Champagner mit Birnen- und Trockenfr\u00fcchte-Aroma und weiteren Geschmacksnuancen, welche ihr am besten selbst erschmeckt. <strong>Gang IV<\/strong> \u00fcberrascht mit Steinbutt | Pastinake | Tr\u00fcffel | Mille Feuille, begleitet vom <strong>Dom Ruinart 2004<\/strong>. Dieser Gang war definitiv mein absoluter Liebling. Ausgezeichnet und in Verbindung mit leichten\u00a0Nuancen von Kastanie, Kokosnuss und frischem Brot ein Gedicht f\u00fcr Zunge und Gaumen. Last but not least, wie ich so sch\u00f6n zu sagen pflege: <strong>Gang Nummer VI<\/strong> und dem Steinbutt dicht\u00a0auf den Fersen bez\u00fcglich meines pers\u00f6nlichen Rankings: Der &#8222;Gem\u00fcsegarten&#8220; in Begleitung mit einem <strong>Ruinart Ros\u00e9<\/strong>. Wundervoll. Ich pers\u00f6nlich bin ein gro\u00dfer Ros\u00e9-Fan. In Kombination mit den hauchd\u00fcnnen Gem\u00fcsepl\u00e4ttchen, dem Mousse aus Kartoffeln, den Babykarotten und Co einfach nur brilliant. Wer aufgepasst hat, dem ist sicherlich die <strong>&#8222;umgedrehte Reihenfolge&#8220; der G\u00e4nge<\/strong> all\u00e1 Upside Down aufgefallen. Wie erw\u00e4hnt: Die Sinne stehen Kopf. \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n<p align=\"LEFT\">Das Upside Down Dinner war f\u00fcr mich ein perfektes Beispiel daf\u00fcr, um wieder einmal best\u00e4tigt zu wissen: <strong>Klasse statt Masse<\/strong>. Satt wurden wir alle, &#8222;sitt&#8220;(wie es neudeutsch f\u00fcr &#8222;durstgestillt&#8220; hei\u00dft) ebenfalls und das eben mit <strong>besten Zutaten, Speisen und edlem Chamagner<\/strong>.\u00a0Nette Tischgespr\u00e4che entstehen ganz automatisch und philosophiert \u00fcber die k\u00f6stlichen Men\u00fczusammenstellungen wird auch gern. Eine <strong>lockere und entspannte Atmosph\u00e4re<\/strong> entsteht und jeder Gast hat Spa\u00df. Ob in der Gruppe oder als P\u00e4rchen &#8211; das Upside Down Dinner ist in meinen Augen, schon allein des &#8222;drumherum&#8220; wegens\u00a0einen Besuch und eine Investition, f\u00fcr die es sich ein wenig tiefer in die Tasche zu greifen lohnt, wert. Denn auch das <strong>Ambiente ist klasse<\/strong>. Nicht nur des Hotels wegen, durch welches ihr gef\u00fchrt werdet um zum <strong>Privat Dining Room<\/strong>, in dem das Dinner stattfindet, zu kommen.\u00a0Ihr sitzt n\u00e4mlich in einem gesonderten Raum, ungest\u00f6rt von anderen G\u00e4sten des \u00f6ffentlichen Restaurants, alles ganz in wei\u00df gehalten, mit einem teilweise verspiegeltem und passend zum Motto des Abends geschm\u00fcckten Tisch <strong>f\u00fcr bis zu 14 Personen<\/strong>. Nicht zu gro\u00df und ideal f\u00fcr einen netten Abend.<\/p>\n<p align=\"LEFT\"><strong>Mein pers\u00f6nliches Fazit<\/strong> ist in diesem Fall also ganz einfach: Auch wenn man Champagner (trotz des M\u00fcnchner Rufes) eher selten &#8222;einfach mal so&#8220; zum Essen dazu bestellt, ist es umso mehr eine wahre Freude gleich ein ganzes Men\u00fc, abgestimmt auf den besten Champagner, serviert zu bekommen. Hier merkt man bei jedem Gang mit welch gro\u00dfer Leidenschaft und jeder Menge \u00b4Know How\u00b4 abgestimmt wurde, welche Kombinationen stimmig sind und dem Gast munden werden. Denn genau so ist es: Wirklich jeder Champagner passte ideal zum servierten Gang. Das <strong>geballte Fachwissen des Sommeliers<\/strong>, die <strong>tolle Stimmung<\/strong>, die <strong>perfekte Atmosph\u00e4re<\/strong> und nat\u00fcrlich das <strong>vorz\u00fcgliche Essen<\/strong> lie\u00dfen mich mein Upside Down Dinner zu einem perfekten Abend machen. Vielleicht noch als Info f\u00fcr euch: Ich ging v\u00f6llig ahnungslos dort hin, was genau mich\u00a0erwartet und was hinter &#8222;Upside Down Dinner&#8220; steckt, wusste also wesentlich weniger als ihr jetzt \ud83d\ude09 Um so begeisterter war ich von der Stimmigkeit des gesamten Abends. Ihr wisst &#8211; ich empfehle nur, wovon ich wirklich \u00fcberzeugt bin.
