Vielen Dank f\u00fcr das Produkt! + + +<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Maker\u00b4s Mark | Whisky<\/strong> &#8211; weil ich in letzter Zeit viel \u00fcber Salz, Tonic Water, italienische Restaurants und Co berichtet habe, m\u00f6chte ich mich heute mal wieder einem anderen Thema widmen: Whisky. Und zwar richtig gutem Whisky. Maker\u00b4s Mark &#8211; Bourbon Whisky um genau zu sein. Denn genau den habe ich schon einige Male in diversen Bars (z.B. der Bruckmann\u00b4s Bar in Neuhausen oder auch im Hans im Gl\u00fcck) probiert und habe mir jedes Mal gedacht: &#8222;Fein!&#8220; Und weil ich das gedacht habe, habe ich mich mittlerweile ein wenig schlauer dar\u00fcber gemacht und m\u00f6chte euch animieren, das n\u00e4chste mal etwas Neues in euer Stammbar (oder eben einer neuen Bar) auszuprobieren: Den Maker\u00b4s Mark Whisky (bzw. korrekt:\u00a0&#8222;Maker\u2019s Mark Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whisky&#8220;), weil es sich immer wieder lohnt Neues zu verkosten und eben auch in diesem Fall.<\/p>\n<p>Damit ihr dann auch wisst was ihr da eigentlich genau bestellt und trinkt, hier die wichtigsten Infos, die auch jeder &#8222;Nicht-Fachmann&#8220; versteht. \u00a0Erst einmal zu Whisky allgemein: Einen Whisky zeichnet in erster Linie die Reifezeit von mindestens drei Jahren im Holzfass und ein Alkoholgehalt von weniger als 94,8% aus. Whisky gilt namentlich und inhaltlich nur dann als Whisky, wenn er durch die Destillation von Wasser und Getreidemaische gewonnen wird und vorab genannte Kriterien erf\u00fcllt. Bereits 1494 sprach man von dem ersten Whisky uns seit her ist viel Zeit vergangen, und viele (\u00fcber 100 verschiedene) unterschiedliche Sorten wurden gebrannt. Die Maker\u00b4s Mark Brennerei\u00a0&#8211; \u00fcbrigens die a\u0308ltesten noch betriebenen Bourbon-Destillerie der Welt &#8211;\u00a0&#8222;denkt&#8220; da ein wenig anders: Eine festgelegte Dauer f\u00fcr die Reife des Whiskys gibt es hier nicht. Eine ausgew\u00e4hlte Geschmacksjury inklusive Master Distiller\u00a0pr\u00fcft stattdessen jedes Fass mindestens f\u00fcnf Mal w\u00e4hrend der Reifung und entscheidet mit einer 100%igen Sicherheit, ob der Whisky fertig ist oder noch ein wenig braucht.<\/p>\n<div style=\"margin: 0 1em 1em 0; float: left; display: block; width: 340px; height: 300px;\"><script type=\"text\/javascript\">\/\/ <![CDATA[ google_ad_client = \"ca-pub-1770258545384845\"; \/* 336 x 280 Best Performer *\/ google_ad_slot = \"6442916218\"; google_ad_width = 336; google_ad_height = 280; \/\/ ]]><\/script><script src=\"\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/show_ads.js\" type=\"text\/javascript\">\/\/ <![CDATA[ \/\/ ]]><\/script><\/div>\n<p>Einer der ganz besonders guten Sorten Whisky ist definitiv Maker\u00b4s Mark. Nat\u00fcrlich kenne ich nicht alles, was der Markt an Whisky zu bieten hat, aber gen\u00fcgend um gut von schlecht, hochwertig von weniger hochwertig und nennenswert von &#8222;Nein danke!&#8220;\u00a0unterscheiden zu k\u00f6nnen. Doch fangen wir von vorne an: Maker\u00b4s Mark ist ein amerikanischer und handgemachter Bourbon Whisky. Als ein solcher kann sich ein Whisky bezeichnen, der aus einem Destillat einer Getreidemischung mit mindestens 51% Mais besteht und aus den USA stammt. Wenn ihr also einen (Maker\u00b4s Mark) Bourbon Whisky trinkt, ist gewiss: Kommt aus Amerika und h\u00e4lt sich an bestimmte Vorgaben in der Herstellung. Maker\u00b4s Mark wird beispielsweise in der eigenen Brennerei in Loretto, Kentucky gebrannt.<\/p>\n<p>Der Maker\u00b4s Mark Whisky ist leicht zu trinken und vollmundig im Geschmack. Nicht umsonst wurde dieser jahrelang perfektioniert. Seit gut 40 Jahren wird exakt dieser Geschmack niemals ver\u00e4ndert und es wird sicher gestellt, dass ihr stets das gleiche Geschmackserlebnis im Glas habt, egal wo ihr euch eure Maker\u00b4s Mark | Bourbon Whisky &#8211; Flasche kauft. Im Maker\u00b4s Mark Whisky wird anstelle von traditionellem Roggen ein roter Winterweizen verwendet. So wird die oft \u00fcbliche raue W\u00fcrze bei roggenbasischen Whiskys vermieden und der erw\u00e4hnte vollmundige Geschmack stets gew\u00e4hrleistet. Die Kombination aus nat\u00fcrlich gem\u00e4lzter Gerste, gelbem Mais und dem roten Winterweizen verleiht ihm au\u00dferdem ein unverwechselbares, volles und zugleich sanftes Aroma, welches sich ebenfalls seit einem halben Jahrhundert von Flasche zu Flasche niemals ge\u00e4ndert hat. So schimmert der Whisky in der schicken Flasche verlockend in einem rot-bernsteinfarbenen Ton und \u00fcberzeugte mich pers\u00f6nlich bei meinem Privat-Tasting mit einem tats\u00e4chlich sehr extravaganten und angenehmen Aroma: fruchtig, sehr mild, Vanille und Karamell, sowie ein leicht kakaohaltiger Geschmack im Hintergrund mit floraler Note.<\/p>\n<p>Die G\u00e4rung des Whiskys erfolgt in unersetzlichen Bottichen aus Zypressenholz. Einige davon sind im wahrsten Sinne des Wortes unersetzlich, da sie ein Alter von \u00fcber 200 Jahren aufweisen. Bevor die modernen Edelstahltanks in Gebrauch kamen war Zypressenholz ein bevorzugtes Material f\u00fcr die n\u00f6tigen G\u00e4rbottiche. Diese funktionieren auch heute noch und vermitteln einen Eindruck des ehemals g\u00e4ngig verwendeten G\u00e4rungsprozesses in Holzf\u00e4ssern, zu sehen bei Maker\u00b4s Mark vor Ort. F\u00fcr die Reifung wiederum werden ausschlie\u00dflich ausgeflammte Wei\u00dfeichef\u00e4sser verwendet. So geht zwar ein wenig Whisky durch die Absorbierung verloren, jedoch verzeiht das Ergebnis diesen kleinen Verlust alle mal, denn durch das Ausflammen der F\u00e4sser wird der nat\u00fcrliche Zucker des Holzes in den Bourbon abgegeben &#8211; der sanfte Geschmack wird verst\u00e4rkt. Um jedes Fass gleichm\u00e4\u00dfigen Temperaturen innerhalb des Lagerhauses von Maker\u00b4s Mark auszusetzen, wird die Umlagerung der F\u00e4sser in der Brennerei immer noch von Hand betrieben. Das ist ausgesprochen selten und in den meisten Brennereien l\u00e4ngst aufgegeben, doch auch das sorgt daf\u00fcr, dass jede Flasche Maker\u00b4s Mark Whisky gleich schmeckt.<\/p>\n<p>Nicht nur das macht den Geschmack vom Maker\u00b4s Mark so besonders. Auch das verwendete Wasser f\u00fcr den Whisky tr\u00e4gt dazu bei. Dieses entspringt aus Kalkstein, ist rein sowie eisenfrei und kommt aus der einzigen Wasserquelle von Maker\u00b4s Mark &#8211; den durch eben besagte Kalksteinquelle gespeisten See mit 40.000 m2 Fl\u00e4che, direkt an der Maker\u00b4s Mark Brennerei gelegen. Klingt idyllisch, oder? Damit sich der Whisky gut schl\u00fcrfen l\u00e4sst und um Unreinheiten zu entfernen, ist der Whisky mit einem auff\u00e4lligen Kupferkolben versehen. Dieser ist ein wichtiger Bestandteil des zweifachen Brennprozess und sorgt parallel daf\u00fcr, dass ein feiner &#8222;Sipping-Whisky&#8220; entsteht. Die Effizienz des zweifachen Brennvorgangs mag erst einmal angezweifelt werden, jedoch sp\u00fcrt man nach dem ersten &#8222;Schl\u00fcrfer&#8220; oder Schluck ganz klar, dass sie f\u00fcr einen besseren Whisky sorgt.<\/p>\n<p>Die 0,7l-Flasche mit handgefertigten roten Wachssiegel, sowie in dem handgestanzten Etikett\u00a0findet ihr ab ca. 27\u20ac im Handel, die 1Liter-Flasche gibt es ab ca. 35\u20ac zu kaufen. Der Alkoholgehalt des Whiskys liegt bei 45 Vol. % &#8211; sollte also nicht in all zu gro\u00dfen Mengen pur oder auch on the rocks genossen werden. \ud83d\ude09 Maker\u00b4s Mark ist ideal f\u00fcr hochwertige Cocktails oder Longdrinks (Rezepte k\u00f6nnt ihr euch <a href=\"http:\/\/essengehenistaucheinhobby.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/11\/Maker\u00b4sMark_Signature_Drinks_Rezepte.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">hier<\/a> downloaden). Ich selbst teile meine Flasche leider nicht, sonst bleibt so wenig \u00fcber f\u00fcr mich. \ud83d\ude09<\/p>\n<p>Mein pers\u00f6nliches Fazit: Ich kann euch einen Test des Whiskys nur empfehlen, auch wenn es nat\u00fcrlich nicht das neue Standardgetr\u00e4nk beim k\u00fcnftigen Mittag- oder Abendessen wird. Das soll es ja auch gar nicht. Maker\u00b4s Mark Bourbon Whisky soll schmecken, bei jedem Verzehr eine wahre Gaumenfreude und etwas Besonderes darstellen und in jedem Schluck die aufwendige Herstellung und die hohe Qualit\u00e4t der Zutaten aufzeigen. Probiert den Whisky aus und sagt mir bitte hier wie ihr ihn findet. Gerne auch wahre Kenner, die diverse Vergleichsgeschm\u00e4cker\u00a0im Kopf bzw. auf der Zunge abgespeichert haben &#8211; w\u00fcrde mich sehr interessieren.
