It&#039;s easy to walk in and quickly find a comfortable seat. It&#039;s spacious and furnished with dark furniture, but doesn&#039;t feel dark or gloomy. The website advertises live music on certain days. On one such evening, we went to the caf\u00e9 with two friends \u2013 we were really looking forward to the music. Unfortunately, it hadn&#039;t started by the time we left about three or four hours later. That was a bit disappointing, and we were at least looking forward to some good food.<\/p>\n<p>The waitress who served us was \u2013 for whatever reason \u2013 in a rather bad mood for the first 30-40 minutes and served us somewhat reluctantly. This improved as the evening progressed. That alone would be reason enough for me not to return to this caf\u00e9. The main course \u2013 pike-perch fillet \u2013 was unfortunately not very good either. The fish was very dry, the sauce tasted like something my grandmother would make, and the potatoes were just okay.<\/p>\n<p>For dessert, I had Kaiserschmarrn and marble cake. The Kaiserschmarrn was okay, the marble cake excellent. The caf\u00e9 at Hotel Mariandl also has a very extensive and well-rounded breakfast menu \u2013 which I haven&#039;t tried yet. (I&#039;ll let you know...).<\/p>\n<p>Unfortunately, the waitress was only moderately motivated, the music (and therefore the truly cozy atmosphere) was missing, and the food wasn&#039;t really enjoyable. Edible, but not what you&#039;d expect from a restaurant. Maybe I&#039;ll give the breakfast menu another chance. What do you think?
