Dass man in Hotelgastronomien aber in der hauseigenen B\u00e4ckerei produziertes Brot in den unterschiedlichsten Sorten serviert bekommt, dass ist schon etwas ganz besonderes und in M\u00fcnchen einzigartig. Auch das Angebot bester\u00a0italienischer Schinken- und K\u00e4sesorten sowie exzellenter Antipasti- und Salatvariationen in der gro\u00dfz\u00fcgigen Frischetheke der Gourmet Bar gelten als Highlight. Das alles und vieles mehr, ist Teil der im September 2015 er\u00f6ffnete Gourmet Bar des Novotel M\u00fcnchen City Arnulfpark. Anreiz\u00a0genug f\u00fcr mich, die Gourmet Bar genauer unter die Lupe zu nehmen, dort vorbei zu kommen, zu relaxen, essen und zu testen.<\/p>\n<p>Zuerst zum wohl bezeichnensten\u00a0Punkt der Gourmet Bar: Eine hauseigene B\u00e4ckerei, in der nicht nur 100% alles hausgemacht hergestellt wird, sondern in welcher das\u00a0Brot und die Baguette besser als in Paris schmecken sollen &#8211;\u00a0ziemlich hoch gepokert, oder? Warten wir\u00b4s ab. Dazu geh\u00f6rt auch \u00a0eine ansprechende Bar in gem\u00fctlichem Design, ein heller und ansprechender\u00a0Restaurantbereich sowie eine freundliche kleine Bibliothek samt Kinderspiel-Ecke. \u00dcberhaupt: Die gesamte untere Etage des Notvotel ist Gourmet Bar und Restaurantbetrieb bzw. Fr\u00fchst\u00fccksbereich, samt stimmiger Atmosph\u00e4re und einladendem Ambiente. Wie ein riesiges Wohnzimmer m\u00fcsst ihr euch die Gourmet Bar vorstellen. So nimmt der Empfang zum Beispiel nur einen sehr kleinen und nahezu unauff\u00e4lligen Bereich des Hotels ein und ihr steht fast beim Eintreten in dieses schon in der Gourmet Bar.<\/p>\n<div Gourmet Bar<\/b><\/h1>\n<p>Als erstes ins Auge sticht unumstritten die bunt, frisch und vielf\u00e4ltig best\u00fcckte Frischetheke samt Original Berkel Aufschnittmaschine, die frischen Brote und hochwertigen Produkte. Italienischer Schinken (Coppa di Parma, San Danielle Schinken, Salami Finocchionape, etc.), verschiedene K\u00e4sesorten (Ziegenk\u00e4se, M\u00e1re Montante, Camembert de Normandie, Comte extra AOC, etc.), Antipasti und Salate (von Feinkost Kugler aus M\u00fcnchen), Desserts im Glas (Crumble, Tiramisu, etc.) sowie Kuchen und Tarte stehen bereit.\u00a0Bei meinem ersten Besuch bediente ich mich an der \u00a0Theke und verkostete Schinken, K\u00e4se, Antipasti, Salate, Fisch und Co. Im Anschluss genoss ich noch einen feinen Cappuccino aus der Siebdruck-Kaffeemaschine. Alles in der Gourmet Bar ist super frisch und hat Spitzen-Qualit\u00e4t. Klickt euch am besten durch die Bilder. Gebacken werden die verschiedenen Brote vom leidenschaftlichen B\u00e4cker Mike Fischer, welcher auch die einzigartigen Brotrezepturen f\u00fcr die Gourmet Bar bzw. deren Backstube zusammenstellt. Immer wieder anders und neu, stets auf der Suche nach neuen Ideen. Durch die Verwendung, feinster franz\u00f6sischer Mehlsorten der M\u00fchle &#8222;Grands Moulins de Paris&#8220; zum Beispiel entstehen besonders feine und mit r\u00f6scher Kruste versehene Brote. So ziehen die Teige f\u00fcr die Baguette\u00a0hier bis zu 48 Stunden, bevor sie gebacken werden. Echtes Handwerk, hochwertige Zutaten und Zeit f\u00fcr die Zubereitung spielen\u00a0eine gro\u00dfe Rolle. Insgesamt sechs verschiedene Sorten stehen regul\u00e4r zur Auswahl. Vom &#8222;Steinm\u00fchlen Hausbrot&#8220;, dem &#8222;Malzigen K\u00fcrbiskernbrot&#8220; oder dem &#8222;Dinkel Halbmond&#8220;, \u00fcber &#8222;Fischer\u00b4s Resche Urkruste&#8220; und dem &#8222;Roggenkasten nach Vinschgauer Art&#8220; bis hin zum klassischen &#8222;Baguette de Pain&#8220; wird f\u00fcr jeden Geschmack etwas geboten. In der Tat: Die Brote halten was versprochen wurde, sind super fluffig und weich, die Kruste hat genau den richtigen Biss, ist nicht zu hart oder lasch. Auch schmeckt man bei jeder Sorte ganz klar den Hauptgeschmackstr\u00e4ger raus und hat eben &#8222;echtes Brot&#8220; im Mund &#8211; ein weltweiter Unterschied zu anderen Hotel-Brotangeboten. Mein Favorit war das Baguette und das zu 100% aus Dinkel bestehende Halbmond-Brot mit Leinsamen, K\u00fcrbis- und Sonnenblumenkernen. K\u00f6stlich! Ich kam also erneut mit meiner Begleitung vorbei. Diesmal an einem Abend und war wieder angenehm \u00fcberrascht, direkt nach dem Eintreten. Die Gourmet Bar ist &#8211; ganz simpel formuliert &#8211; einfach\u00a0ein gem\u00fctlicher Ort, welcher Lust macht zu verweilen. Neben der Aufmerksamkeit und Freundlichkeit der Angestellten, gefiel mir vor allem die vorherrschende Stimmung. Weder unterk\u00fchlt, steril oder eben so, wie man sich manchmal &#8222;Hotel-Gastronomie&#8220; f\u00e4lschlicherweise vorstellt. Eher gleichend einer einladenden Wohnzimmer-Atmosph\u00e4re samt dezenten Lichtquellen, Teppichb\u00f6den und Sofas mit gro\u00dfen Kissen. Ganz anders als mittags (mein erster Aufenthalt), wandelte sich die Stimmung der Gourmet Bar am Abend nahe zu in eine loungig-heimelige Atmosph\u00e4re. \u00dcberall sa\u00dfen essende, lesende, lachende und ratschende Menschen. Die Karte untergliedert sich in verschiedene Bereiche. Tapas (aus der Frischetheke wie zum Beispiel Oliven, griechischer Feta-K\u00e4se, Feinkostsalate, etc.) mit hausgebackenem Brot, Salate, Suppen, Bestseller und Getr\u00e4nke (Softdrinks, Wasser, Weine, Hei\u00dfgetr\u00e4nke, Cocktails, Biere). Die sogenannten Bestseller bieten f\u00fcr jedermann etwas an. Die Auswahl ist recht \u00fcbersichtlich, jedoch gut sortiert. Fisch, Fleisch, Salat, Steak, Nudeln, Sandwich oder Burger stehen zwischen 13,50\u20ac und 39,50\u20ac bereit. Daf\u00fcr m\u00fcsst ihr dann aber schon ein Black Angus Rumpsteak (350 Gramm) mit Chili-Pommes und kleinem Salat bestellen. Dies tat meine Begleitung auch bei meinem Test. Zuvor aber teilten wir uns &#8211; da ich die Antipasti ja schon kannte &#8211; zwei Vorspeisen. Ich entschied mich f\u00fcr die (\u00fcbrigens vegane) Kokos-Kaffirlimettensuppe (f\u00fcr 6,50 \u20ac), meine Begleitung bestellte sich den Caesar-Salad mit gebratener H\u00e4hnchenbrust, Cro\u00fbtons und Parmesan (f\u00fcr 13,50 \u20ac). Dieser ist nicht als Vorspeise deklariert und w\u00fcrde\u00a0auch als einzelne Hauptspeise ordentlich satt machen. Bez\u00fcglich der Qualit\u00e4t und dem jeweiligen Geschmack waren wir bei beiden &#8222;Startern&#8220; angenehm \u00fcberrascht. Die Suppe war angenehm w\u00fcrzig und geschmacksintensiv. Die Brot-Cro\u00fbtons wurden im separaten T\u00f6pfchen serviert und die Menge der H\u00e4hnchenbrust beim gut portionierten Caesar-Salat war ausgesprochen gro\u00dfz\u00fcgig. Wahlweise wird ein Sch\u00e4lchen mit frischem Brot serviert.<\/p>\n<p>Die leeren Teller wurden rasch abger\u00e4umt und die gew\u00e4hlten Hauptgerichte lie\u00dfen nicht lange auf sich warten, kamen aber auch nicht zu schnell. (Etwas, das ich gar nicht mag, wenn man gerade die Gabel vom Vorspeisenteller ablegt und der Kellner schon mit Schnitzel und Steak wartet.) Ich konnte es nicht sein lassen und bestellte mir von der Karte das Wiener Schnitzel vom Milchkalb in Brotpanade mit Pommes und kleinem Salat (f\u00fcr 23,50\u20ac). Hier w\u00e4ren wir leider auch schon bei meinem einzigen Kritikpunkt w\u00e4hrend dem gesamten Aufenthalt angelangt: Die Optik des Schnitzels &#8211; in Kombination mit dem stolzen Preis &#8211; entt\u00e4uschte mich ein wenig. Seht euch dazu am besten das Foto an. Leider war es relativ lieblos angerichtet und so paniert, dass die Panade sofort abfiel, sobald ich es anhob um es zu schneiden. Geschmacklich, blendete man die Optik aus, schmeckte es sowohl mir als auch meiner Begleitung sehr gut. Es war sch\u00f6n d\u00fcnn und nicht \u00f6lig oder gar z\u00e4h. Eher genau so, wie ein Schnitzel zu schmecken hat. Das Auge isst mit und so h\u00e4tte man das etwas sch\u00f6ner machen k\u00f6nnen, oder wie seht ihr das? Um so ansprechender war daf\u00fcr, dass das georderte Angus-Rumpsteak. Auf den Punkt genau angebraten und somit in Sachen Garstufe eine glatte eins. Super Fleischqualit\u00e4t und bis zum letzten Bissen die richtige Wahl. Das Fleisch wird euch einzeln auf einem Teller, die Beilagen separat im Sch\u00e4lchen bzw. K\u00f6rbchen serviert. Beim Steak eine g\u00e4ngige Methode, beim Schnitzel wie erw\u00e4hnt leider ein optisches, wenn auch nicht geschmackliches Trauerspiel. Ich denke hier w\u00e4re es sch\u00f6ner gewesen, den Salat oder die Pommes direkt beim Fleisch anzurichten um den Teller &#8222;fr\u00f6hlicher&#8220; wirken zu lassen. Geschmeckt hat\u00b4s trotzdem.<\/p>\n<p>Zum s\u00fc\u00dfen Abschluss gab\u00b4s eine kleine Apfel-Tarte, zusammen mit einem Espresso Macchiato. Dieser kam zackig und hei\u00df. Auch nicht immer \u00fcblich. Die Tarte war k\u00f6stlich und ebenfalls sch\u00f6n frisch. Alternativ h\u00e4tte es noch verschiedene Desserts im kleinen Gl\u00e4schen gegeben, die g\u00f6nne ich mir dann aber beim n\u00e4chsten mal, da ich wieder kommen m\u00f6chte. Durch die offene und lockere Atmosph\u00e4re entsteht weder das Gef\u00fchl man s\u00e4\u00dfe in einem Hotel, noch in einem Restaurant &#8211; mehr in einem Wohnzimmer, in dem man eben auch (bei gratis WLAN \u00fcbrigens), sitzen, arbeiten und relaxen kann. Ach ja: Das Weinangebot ist \u00fcberschaubar, aber gut sortiert. Ich entschied mich bei meinem Aufenthalt f\u00fcr ein 0,2l Glas trockenen Grauburgunder vom Weingut Kaiserstuhl f\u00fcr 7,90\u20ac. Insgesamt stehen drei Rot-, drei Wei\u00dfweine und ein Ros\u00e9 zur Auswahl. Hochpreisiger als der erw\u00e4hnte Grauburgunder mit 28\u20ac f\u00fcr die 0,75 Liter-Flasche wird es auf der Weinkarte der Gourmet Bar auch nicht. Einmal, weil der Service super aufmerksam, freundlich und authentisch ist, zum anderen, weil die Stimmung \u00fcberzeugt und eben vieles stimmt. Die Qualit\u00e4t der einzelnen Produkte und Speisen stimmt, lediglich bei der Anrichte meines Schnitzels gibt\u00b4s einen kleinen Punktabzug. Ich w\u00fcrde und werde auf jeden Fall wieder kommen, auch weil ich mich in das frische Baguette und Brot verliebt habe. In der Gourmet Bar seid ihr f\u00fcr ein Gl\u00e4schen Wein genauso willkommen, wie f\u00fcr ein ausgiebiges Essen oder das Meeting zwischendurch.<\/p>\n<p>Ich empfehle euch auf jeden Fall in der Gourmet Bar vorbei zu schauen. Es lohnt sich und macht Freude hier zu sitzen und zu essen. Auch als M\u00fcnchner ist es nicht verboten in ein Hotel einzukehren um die Gastronomie des Hauses zu nutzen. \ud83d\ude09 In der Gourmet Bar\u00a0macht das in Form des durchdachten Konzeptes samt hauseigenem B\u00e4cker ganz besonders Spa\u00df. Das Haus bietet au\u00dferdem ein umfangreiches Fr\u00fchst\u00fccksbuffet an, welches auch von Nicht-Hotelg\u00e4sten (f\u00fcr 19\u20ac pro Nase) genutzt werden darf. (Fr\u00fchst\u00fcck von Montag bis Samstag von 6:30 Uhr &#8211; 10:30 Uhr und Sonn-\/Feiertags bis 12:00 Uhr.). Die \u00f6ffentlichen Verkehrsmittel bringen euch direkt zum Hotel, ansonsten l\u00e4sst sich gut in den umliegenden Stra\u00dfen oder auch in der Hotel-Tiefgarage parken.
