Jener, an welchem ich das neue RELAX Restaurant im Mercure M\u00fcnchen City Hotel getestet habe, war ein solcher. Nein, ganz ehrlich &#8211; ich kam gut gelaunt und ging noch besser gelaunt, schlie\u00dflich war ich auch um einige Erfahrungen reicher als zuvor. So beispielsweise a\u00df ich eines der mitunter besten und auf den Punkt gebratensten Rumpsteaks seit langem in dem modern und zugleich gem\u00fctlich gehaltenen Restaurant &#8211; zugegeben, damit hatte ich nicht gerechnet. Au\u00dferdem probierte ich einige tolle Gin-Kreationen und lerne neue Sorten kennen. Vorstellen m\u00f6chte ich euch in diesem Rahmen das neue RELAX Restaurant und Konzept des Hauses \u00a0Mercure M\u00fcnchen City und alles, was dieses mit sich bringt.<\/p>\n<p>Vorab nochmals ein kleiner Schwenker zum Thema Hotel-Gastronomie im Allgemeinen. Ich kann es nicht oft genug sagen: Legt die Scheuklappen ab und traut euch in Hotels essen zu gehen. Das ist nicht nur f\u00fcr dortige Hotelg\u00e4ste m\u00f6glich, keiner schaut euch schr\u00e4g an und auch wenn die Speisekarten oft vielleicht \u00fcbersichtlicher gestaltet sind, lohnt sich ein Versuch. Oft bekommt ihr dort genauso gutes, wenn nicht besseres Essen als in manch\u00a0anderer Gastronomie serviert. Ein gutes Beispiel: Das Mercure M\u00fcnchen City, unweit vom M\u00fcnchner Bahnhof entfernt, 4 Sterne und das erste Mercure Hotel innerhalb M\u00fcnchens welches mit dem neuen RELAX Konzept ausgestattet ist. Ich testete dieses, samt Speis und Trank, Gin und Stimmung und war begeistert. Der komplette Bereich wird von der Gastronomie, der gro\u00dfz\u00fcgigen Relax-Area und dem Barbereich eingenommen. Helle freundliche Farben, weiche und gepolsterte Sitzm\u00f6bel, \u00fcberall dezente Lichtquellen, abgestimmte Dekoration und einladende Sitzgruppen, Tische und Sessel zum Platznehmen. Wie \u00fcberall, hat man nat\u00fcrlich auch hier einen ersten Eindruck und merkt innerhalb Sekunden &#8222;Wohlf\u00fchlen &#8211; ja oder nein!&#8220;. Hier im RELAX Restaurant sa\u00df ich von der ersten Minute an gerne, w\u00e4hlte gerne einen der\u00a0Zweiertische aus\u00a0und entspanne mich. Mein Blick war w\u00e4hrend\u00a0meinem Besuch auf die einladende Bar, ebenfalls mit Sitzgelegenheiten und feschen Barjungs best\u00fcckt ;-), gerichtet. Schon beim Reinkommen kam direkt einer der Mitarbeiter auf mich zu und fragte ob ich Hilfe br\u00e4uchte. Alles sehr entspannt, angenehm und authentisch im RELAX. Unter dem Motto &#8222;Gin &amp; Relax&#8220; n\u00e4mlich werden exklusive Gin-Tasting angeboten. Insgesamt gibts \u00fcber 25 verschiedene Gin-Sorten zu probieren. Ihr k\u00f6nnt bei jedem offiziellen Tasting unbegrenzt aus der gesamten Gin-Palette so viel verkosten wie ihr wollt. Kombiniert wird im Tasting mit sechs verschiedenen Tonicsorten, das Fachwissen der Gin-Experten gibt\u00b4s oben drauf. Falls ihr teilnehmen wollt, k\u00f6nnt ihr gegen Vorkasse ein Ticket i.W.v. 69\u20ac pro Gin-Nase bis zum sp\u00e4testens 8. M\u00e4rz 2017 buchen. Das Tasting findet am 10. M\u00e4rz statt. Auch das Thema Weine spielt im Mercure bzw. dem RELAX eine recht pr\u00e4gnante Rolle. Einmal, weil eine beachtliche Auswahl an diversen Weinen \u00a0auf der Karte zur Verf\u00fcgung steht, zum anderen weil es wohl keine andere Hotelgruppe gibt, f\u00fcr die eigens jedes Jahr ein Wein bzw. eine f\u00fcr das Hotel entwickelte Cuv\u00e9e bereit steht. Im Mercure ist das die sogenannte &#8222;M-Linie&#8220; und so l\u00f6ste heuer die Cuv\u00e9e &#8222;M VI Edition&#8220; die F\u00fcnfer-Edition ab. Heuer k\u00f6nnt ihr \u00a0euch eine exklusiv im Mercure Hotel erh\u00e4ltliche trockene Rotweincuv\u00e9e vom Weingut Markus Schneider aus der Pfalz g\u00f6nnen (0,1l f\u00fcr 5,50\u20ac | 0,75l Flasche f\u00fcr 35,50\u20ac). Im Gegenteil. Die Speisekarte ist relativ \u00fcbersichtlich, dennoch gut sortiert. Da die Mercure Hotels zur Accor Gruppe geh\u00f6ren, welche wiederum die Novotel Hotes umfasst, finden sich hier teilweise Deckungen in der Speisekarte. Unterteilt wird in Cold Cuts, Snacks, Suppen, gr\u00fcn und gesund, Pasta, Main Street und Street Food. Cold Cuts &#8211; das sind 30 Gramm Portionen f\u00fcr Antipasti, Schinken, Salami, Parmesan und Co. f\u00fcr je 4,90\u20ac. Dazu k\u00f6nnt ihr euch f\u00fcr 4,50\u20ac z.B. noch Hummus, Oliven oder auch R\u00e4uchermandeln bestellt. Wenn der Bauch mehr knurrt gibts Supppen (ab 5,50\u20ac), Salate (ab 7,50\u20ac) exklusive diverser Toppings (ab 2,50\u20ac) oder auch Penne ab 9,50\u20ac. Wer Fleisch &#8211; so wie ich bei meinem Besuch &#8211; zwischen den Kiefern braucht, der w\u00e4hlt entweder das argentinische Rumpsteak (200 Gramm f\u00fcr 27\u20ac mit Blattsalat und Pommes) oder den Black-Angus-, Rumpsteak- oder Barbecueburger (ab 17,50\u20ac). Ganz klassisch g\u00e4b\u00b4s auch noch eine Currywurst mit Pommes (f\u00fcr 9,50\u20ac), Lachsfilet mit Reis und Gem\u00fcse (f\u00fcr 23,50\u20ac) oder ein Chickencurry mit Sesam und Mango f\u00fcr 14,50\u20ac. Die Karte also zeigt sich in abwechslungsreicher Form. Mir gef\u00e4llt, dass es sowohl Snacks in hochwertiger Qualit\u00e4t, als auch richtig s\u00e4ttigende Hauptgerichte gibt. Zus\u00e4tzlich gibt\u00b4s immer um die zwei Gerichte, welche der K\u00fcchenchef au\u00dfer der Reihe der regul\u00e4ren Karte selbst zusammen stellt und als regelm\u00e4\u00dfige Abwechslung anbietet. Aktuell ist das zum Beispiel ein Bresaola Sandwich mit Feige-Senf, Sauerkraut und Gouda (f\u00fcr 10,50\u20ac) sowie eine Panna Cotta mit Beerenkompott (f\u00fcr 4,50\u20ac).<\/p>\n<p>Vom Kucken wird man nicht satt, darum ran an die Buletten &#8211; bzw. in meinem Fall ans Steak und an den Burger. Auf dem Titelbild seht ihr den &#8222;Black-Angus-Burger&#8220; samt Pommes meiner Begleitung. Im Hintergrund meinen Beilagensalat samt Pommes. Dahinter versteckt sich mein argentinisches Rumpsteak. Wunschweise medium durchgebraten und tip top umgesetzt. (Erg\u00e4nzend m\u00f6chte ich erw\u00e4hnen, dass ich in letzter Zeit relativ viel Fleisch, Schnitzel und Steak gegessen habe und zumindest die Garstufen von niemanden so kontinuierlich umgesetzt wurden, wie von Hotel-Restaurants&#8230;). \u00a0Mein Steak, serviert mit etwas gr\u00fcn auf buntem Teller, lachte mich direkt an und ich lie\u00df Pommes und den frischen Salat erst mal links liegen. Garstufe glatte 1, super Fleischqualit\u00e4t und sch\u00f6n f\u00fcrs Auge. R\u00fcber geluhrt zu meiner Begleitung sah es da nicht anders aus. Der Burger sah appetitlich aus, lie\u00df sich praktisch verzehren und machte &#8211; wie auch mein Gericht &#8211; ordentlich satt. Wenn ihr euch durch die Bildergalerie klickt, seht ihr, dass wir davor einiges an &#8222;Cold Cuts&#8220; und Snacks probierten. Der italienische Schinken &#8211; geschnitten mit einer Original Berkel-Maschine &#8211; hatte es mir auch hier m\u00e4chtig angetan und ich lie\u00df, neben der Auswahl an K\u00e4se, fast nichts davon \u00fcber, bis mir meine Steak-Bestellung wieder einfiel. Getoppt wurde das tolle Essen wohl nur durch die vorab von den Barjungs kreierten Gin-Varianten in schicken Gl\u00e4sern. Falls es gesch\u00e4ftlich ist &#8211; WLAN ist vorhanden. Dazu gem\u00fctliche Wohnzimmer- und Bar-Atmosph\u00e4re, guter Wein, kompetentes Personal und hochwertige Produkte. Mein Tipp, wenns nur was f\u00fcr den kleinen Hunger sein soll, ist ein Gin Tonic und diverse Cold Cuts. \ud83d\ude42 Mehr braucht man nicht zwingend f\u00fcr einen sch\u00f6nen Abend &#8211; je nach Begleitung. Platz finden bis zu 110 Personen in dem gro\u00dfz\u00fcgigen Restaurant. Fr\u00fchst\u00fcck wird \u00fcbrigens auch f\u00fcr Nicht-Hotelg\u00e4ste (f\u00fcr 19\u20ac am Buffet) angeboten. Hier erwarten euch g\u00e4ngige Fr\u00fchst\u00fccks-Klassiker, Eierspeisen, Brot, K\u00e4se, Marmelade, etc.. Ab 11:00 Uhr gilt t\u00e4glich die oben erl\u00e4uterte Speisekarte, immer wieder gibt es auch Mittagsbuffet f\u00fcr 25\u20ac pro Person. Ich werde auf jeden Fall wieder kommen und mich dort sowohl f\u00fcr das ein oder andere Arbeitsst\u00fcndchen, als auch gewollte Relax-Momente mit Freunden und Bekannten treffen.
