I reserved a table online that same day around 5:30 pm and specifically requested a corner table, which we were given. This was immediately noticeable and a pleasant surprise when a friendly young waitress showed me to my table upon arrival.<\/p>\n<p>Lucky Who is somewhat hidden away on Briennerstrasse \u2013 near Odeonsplatz \u2013 in a courtyard. Two enormous, red-lit planters and the restaurant&#039;s red-lit canopies illuminate the space. I arrived before my companion, so I went straight in through the heavy fabric curtain behind the entrance door. The restaurant, which at first glance appears very simple and long, had a basic bar directly opposite the entrance, several low tables with stools (all completely full), and tables for two and four with simple chairs.<br \/>\n<script async src=\"\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/js\/adsbygoogle.js\"><\/script><br \/>\n<!-- Responsive Flie\u00dftext --><br \/>\n<ins class=\"adsbygoogle\" style=\"display: block;\" data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-1770258545384845\" data-ad-slot=\"7477610216\" data-ad-format=\"auto\"><\/ins><br \/>\n<script>\n(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});\n<\/script><\/p>\n<p>The aforementioned waitress then led me, after a short wait, to the room at the back left, which housed the bar area and, connected by a slightly longer corridor, the restaurant area. This area was furnished with very simple tables, but relatively solid and bulky-looking dark green seating, leather benches, armchairs, and stools. The most striking feature was probably the sophisticated ceiling lighting \u2013 with gold-clad squares embedded in the wall and colorful light bulbs \u2013 the overall lighting was almost too dim. (I could only make out the color of the seat cushions with my phone&#039;s flashlight ;-)\u2026but perfectly adequate for celebrating, drinking, and chatting). The tables seemed rather haphazardly scattered around the room. Groups of relatively young women were sitting on raised, upholstered platforms along the long window front, right next to them two other people eating at a small, low table with stools, and another group at two tables pushed together with numerous stools and chairs \u2013 so, all in all, quite a colorful mix, yet somehow harmonious. (The audience was generally quite young, exclusively people between about 25 and 35 years old, mostly groups of young women, which naturally reinforces the bar atmosphere.) The front room with the bar area has relatively &quot;shabby&quot;-looking yellow walls, with missing plaster and cracked walls, some painted in patches \u2013 made to look hip, in addition to the glass shelves in the bar with a large &quot;Welcome&quot; graffiti sign on the wall, large simple light bulb lamps on the ceiling and overall a cozy and coordinated ambiance, not uncomfortable, rather relaxed and stylish in combination with the relatively loud music in the background.<\/p>\n<p>As mentioned, our table for dining was in a cozy corner in the left part of Lucky Who, with a comfortable leather bench and armchairs, offering an open view of the entire room, right next to the DJ booth: somewhat quirky, white line drawings, texts and words on the dark walls, tulips and tea lights on the individual dark wooden tables, another chicly lit purple bar, a large vase of tulips in the aisle, very limited <a title=\"Menus\" href=\"http:\/\/luckywho.de\/restaurant\/abendkarte\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Menus<\/a> in the form of placemat sets, which show the five different burgers, salads and dips, and many other stylistic elements create an overall cozy atmosphere.<\/p>\n<p>The menu offered no more than eight different dishes or a few different salad combinations \u2013 one of which I chose, as it was also the only vegetarian option. The salads sounded quite delicious, and my chosen mixed greens salad with goat cheese and pear wedges (small \u20ac6.50 \/ large \u20ac9.50) tasted very good with the Green Goddess dressing. My companion&#039;s burger (&quot;Chicken Slider&quot; \u2013 chicken breast with rosemary marinade and lemon tartar sauce with fries for an additional \u20ac2.50) cost \u20ac8, and the truffle mayonnaise we ordered on the side was also very tasty. Visually, the burger wasn&#039;t anything special \u2013 but for what should be a simple chicken burger, it was very delicious, generously topped with meat, and very filling. I tried the truffle dip with the crispy fries \u2013 very truffle-y and definitely worth the indulgence. For drinks, we ordered a juice spritzer (first mango, because the waitress said they had mango even though it wasn&#039;t on the menu, but then came back to announce that they were out of mango, so we ordered apple) and a Hugo, which was brought without a straw \u2013 a negative point in my opinion. It also tasted a bit too heavy on the elderflower syrup, but was drinkable.<\/p>\n<p>Dessert isn&#039;t offered, at least I didn&#039;t find one on the menu. The rather extensive drinks selection is presented as a separate menu \u2013 clipped to a clipboard. There&#039;s also supposedly a daily special, which we didn&#039;t see \u2013 at least not as a menu to choose from. (Yesterday&#039;s specials included mini lamb burgers with fries, beetroot gnocchi with herb sauce, or tortellini in broth). <a title=\"Standard menu\" href=\"http:\/\/luckywho.de\/restaurant\/standards\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Standard menu<\/a> Valid only from Monday to Friday between 11:30 am and 3 pm, and offers only schnitzel, ravioli, a BBQ burger and the same salads as on the evening menu.<\/p>\n<p>Lucky Who is open Monday to Friday from 11 am to 4 pm (food served until 3 pm), Monday to Wednesday additionally from 6 pm to 1 am, and Thursday, Friday, and Saturday from 6 pm to 3 am. Card payments are accepted at Lucky Who. The staff is very friendly, quite young, and sometimes seemed to be a bit lost in the background \u2013 probably more focused on the bar area. The burgers took about 20-25 minutes to arrive \u2013 bordering on the normal wait time, but still acceptable.<\/p>\n<p>All in all, you can&#039;t really go wrong with a visit to this bar\/restaurant. Together, we paid \u20ac30 for two main courses and two drinks, including tip \u2013 perfectly reasonable prices. As mentioned, the clientele is quite young, and at times groups came in but had to leave because the place was full \u2013 so I would recommend making a reservation, even during the week. The atmosphere is cozy, the lighting is rather dim, the noise level is acceptable, and while the food selection is limited, it&#039;s edible and tastes better than it looks. Overall, it&#039;s definitely a pretty good place where you can certainly spend a pleasant evening.<br \/>\n<script async
