Today I&#039;d like to tell you about my visit to the first of &quot;my&quot; four restaurants \u2013 the neo-brasserie &quot;Hoiz&quot; on Karlstra\u00dfe in the city center. The menu of this rustic and cozy brasserie (\u2026with plenty of &quot;Hoiz&quot;\u2026) features sea bass (from Lurz Fish and Delicatessen in Munich), steak frites, spare ribs, Bavarian pasture-raised beef tartare (from an Allg\u00e4u butcher), as well as oysters, a Caesar salad with various toppings, (currently) asparagus pasta, and snacks or light bites in the &quot;always a good idea&quot; category (e.g., tarte flamb\u00e9e, cheese selection, oysters\u2026). They also offer a variety of desserts, such as a chocolate salted caramel tart or hazelnut meringue. In addition to the standard menu, creatively presented in a &quot;reading book,&quot; the brasserie also offers a lunch menu (alternating between pasta or risotto with espresso for \u20ac15.50) from 11:30 am to 3:00 pm. At Hoiz, they only use high-quality ingredients. The result is a blend of modern-rustic and Bavarian-inspired cuisine, complemented by a generous selection of perfectly paired wines. This combination, coupled with the delightful fact that the Hoiz terrace is open until 1:00 a.m., sounds like the perfect summer moment, doesn&#039;t it?<\/p>\n<p>Now for the test: Seated at one of the numerous tables for two, my companion and I were served the\u00a0<span class=\"s1\">Spare ribs from Thuringian Duroc pork (known for its fine marbling and high intramuscular fat content) with bourbon marinade, (rather salty) sweet potato fries, and a perfectly marinated corn salad (\u20ac18.50), as well as Bavarian pasture-raised beef tartare (from the Allg\u00e4u region) with shallot cr\u00e8me fra\u00eeche and toasted malt bread (\u20ac14.50 or \u20ac19.50 as a main course). Before the main courses were served, we were surprised with a small appetizer: a platter of cold cuts with cheese cubes, capers, Bayonne IGP ham (tender, subtly sweet, and from southern France), and Tuscan pancetta rigatino (cured pork belly). A delicious and high-quality start to the culinary evening. In my opinion, a steak tartare \u2013 whether intentionally or not \u2013 is always a good benchmark for the quality of the food and the skill of the team. Hoiz, with space for up to 85 guests, is, in my opinion, the perfect place to meet if you&#039;re looking for a relaxed and cozy evening in a casual atmosphere, with delicious, yet unpretentious food, without any unnecessary fuss or frills. The service is relaxed, competent, and friendly. Don&#039;t arrive if you&#039;re in a hurry. Questions about food and drinks, as well as special requests, are gladly answered at your table, and your wishes are fulfilled. Flexibility is no problem for the friendly Hoiz team, so even those with allergies or dietary restrictions can enjoy a meal at Hoiz. Business or private events and celebrations can be booked and held at Hoiz as private parties after prior arrangement and menu consultation. Of course, you&#039;re also welcome to simply stop by for a good glass of (Weinviertel) wine, a summery drink or coffee (Pascucci), and\/or a light snack. We intentionally paired it with meat! This natural wine has a consistent structure and an exciting texture on the palate. Apricot juice blends with a wide range of spices such as saffron, cinnamon bark, mace, and nutmeg, which provide a fresh note and nutty spice. &quot;NV&quot; in this wine stands for &quot;Nicht gibt&quot; (Not available), referring to the vintage. Because this natural wine is produced using the Solera system, it&#039;s not possible to specify a single vintage. The Solera system is a system in which stacked &quot;botas&quot; (barrels) contain wines of varying ages and maturations.
