Triplico Maisach: High-quality Italian cuisine near Munich || A real must for fans of high-quality Italian cuisine, and my next recommendation for you, is the "Triplico" restaurant in Maisach. Ideal for a short trip into the countryside, combined with fantastic Italian creations on your plate, the restaurant, run by owner Memo, offers not only exceptionally warm service but also authentic Italian cuisine, just as you know and love it in Italy – prepared by Italian chef Gino. Together with my companion, I made the trip to Maisach and thoroughly tested Triplico for you – a trip well worth taking.

Located just a stone's throw from the Maisach S-Bahn station, the Triplico restaurant offers high-quality and authentic Italian cuisine. Established in Maisach since 2005, it has been under the management of owner Memo for over ten years. Food and drink menu

Even on the drive to Maisach, my companion and I were incredibly excited about visiting Triplico. We had already used the online menus in Munich to whet our appetites and build anticipation. A plan that worked perfectly.

I learned about Triplico's split dining offerings, partly through their website. It's divided into a daily lunch menu from 11:30 am to 2:30 pm and an evening service starting at 5:30 pm – during which the standard menu and the changing weekly menu/blackboard are available.

The lunch menu offers both à la carte dishes and two- or three-course set menus for a fair ten, eleven, or twelve euros. You can choose from two different starters and up to five different main courses. The optional daily dessert can turn your lunch into a three-course meal. (Take a look at the menu here.) Immediately upon arrival, you will be warmly greeted, seated, and given menus. Both the regularly changing weekly menu and the standard food and drink menu will be brought to you. If you decide against ordering from the handwritten weekly menu, the Standard menu of the Triplico Maisach We offer a variety of appetizers, salads, pasta and oven-baked dishes, meat/steaks and fish, pizzas and specialty pizzas, as well as desserts. The pizzas come fresh from the wood-fired oven, and you can customize them with your choice of toppings. Incidentally, along with the specialty pizzas on offer, there are over 30 different pizza variations to choose from; white pizzas are also available.

„Duetto-Diavola“ from the weekly menu

Incidentally, when selecting all ingredients used in the restaurant, Triplico always pays attention to freshness, the best quality and also possible regionality – a focus that is naturally noticeable on the plate and on the palate.

Even the Drinks menu at Triplico Maisach It's quite impressive. I particularly like the selection of eight (!) different spritz variations. From the classic Aperol Spritz and Hugo, to the rhubarb or passion fruit spritz, to the Ramazzotti Rosato, Lillet Spritz, or even the signature "Triplica Sprizz" with ice, soda, elderflower syrup, and fruit, there's a perfect refreshing drink for everyone. Of course, there's also a variety of other aperitifs, non-alcoholic beverages, beer, white, red, and rosé wines, as well as hot drinks available.

Be sure to treat yourself to some appetizers during your visit!

My personal visit and on-site test

Now, let's get to the plates! During my visit, the owner, Memo, and his companion joined us at our table, and the four of us ate together. Lovely! We had four different appetizers to try (seafood salad, carpaccio, vitello tonnato, and antipasti).

My favorites were both the vitello and the paper-thin sliced beef carpaccio with arugula and Parmesan, which you can optionally have delicious truffle grated on top at your table. Mmm! The vitello tonnato – thin slices of veal loin in tuna sauce with capers – was also very good for my companion. I would highly recommend both. The seafood salad – also very fresh and plentiful – was my companion's favorite among the appetizers.

For the main courses, we also let ourselves be guided a bit, so the menus remained closed, or rather, our eyes were primarily drawn to the mobile weekly specials. Ultimately, four different main courses landed on the table. I was served a beef fillet with a Parmesan crust on a bed of potato carpaccio and a fresh truffle topping; my companion had a "Duetto Diavola," which is scampi and calamari in a spicy tomato and herb sauce with potatoes and vegetables. Our hosts opted for tagliatelle with black truffle and "Scampi al Guazzetto"—scampi in a flavorful sauce of garlic, shrimp, and chili. A mixed salad, accompanied by bits of meat and fresh fruit, was placed in the center of the table for sharing.

The sweet finale consisted of three different desserts: a homemade tiramisu, which I honestly ate almost all by myself ;-); a mixed dessert platter; and delicious strawberries with mascarpone cream. You know I'm not usually a big dessert eater, but deciding to try them was absolutely the right thing to do. The atmosphere was relaxed, the evening sun was setting, and the sweet ending was the perfect finishing touch to a perfect stay.

Inside you will find a cozy dining room with Italian flair.

We sat together for about three hours, and I completely forgot about time and the stress of everyday life. As I always say, good food is only half the battle when it comes to what I consider a perfect restaurant visit. Warmth, a great atmosphere, and the right ambiance are just as important to me.

With the exception of one unfortunately overcooked beef fillet, everything tasted absolutely superb. The appetizers were all very fresh and attractively presented. The main courses were sophisticated, varied, and also very well-balanced in flavor.

I really appreciate that there's always variety on the menu, even if you're a frequent visitor to Triplico. During our get-together, regular customers kept stopping by, giving Memo a warm pat on the shoulder, chatting briefly about the fantastic food and their lovely stay, picking up pizzas, and enjoying themselves – just like us.

Together with my companion, I decided even before the engine started and we drove home that we would come back. Maybe for a pizza, or two. Or even more! Be sure to stop by and say hi to Memo, Gino, and the others for me. My tip: Take the S-Bahn (suburban train), then you can also enjoy a glass or two of wine, Cà dei Frati, and other local specialties.

Interesting facts about the surrounding area

Parking is no problem on site. However, the S-Bahn (Maisach station) will also take you almost right to the door of Triplico. All dishes can be eaten in or taken away – including the wood-fired pizzas, of course. I learned that Triplico in Maisach also has its own food truck, which offers a variety of Italian dishes as well as delicious hamburgers at various events, catering services, and festivals. Keep an eye out for it and just ask if you're interested. Have fun!
