NOA bread spread as a dip

NOA Bread Spread | „"Natural, original, authentic" – that's how it all began. Three randomly placed circles around the initials and NOA was born, or rather, the product got its name. Now you might be wondering why I haven't revealed more about what exactly NOA is in the article's headline, huh? Well, because you should approach it with an open mind. So here goes: NOA – it's a bread spread unlike any other – and I'm not exaggerating – you've ever seen before. Since June of this year, you can buy it in four different varieties at the supermarket. There are plenty of bread spreads out there. A whole lot. So why choose NOA and shake off the "vegan is rubbish anyway" mentality? Exactly! NOA is vegan and a perfect example of how you're missing out on a lot of good things by thinking "vegan is rubbish" – like NOA itself. So, to reiterate: NOA – it's a vegan, plant-based bread spread. First, you should taste it, then realize that your "plant-based/vegan veto" was wrong, and then judge. I now know the product in all its diversity very well and am thrilled with all four varieties. Not necessarily because NOA is vegan, GMO-free, and gluten-free – no, much more because the product simply – sorry! – tastes incredibly good and different.

What makes NOA bread spread special

A diverse mix of flavors awaits you. If you prefer something a bit spicier, you should reach for the orange-red NOA tub – the bean and bell pepper spread – which is refined with quinoa. The "Lentil Curry" variety, on the other hand, has a slightly sweet, but not overpowering, curry note, while "Herbal Hummus" and "Natural Hummus" deliver the purest taste of a truly authentic and unique hummus on your bread. Although… "on bread" is actually only one aspect of what NOA can do. Sure… it says "spread" on the label and it is spread, but this spread, packaged in convenient 175-gram tubs, can do so much more. It can simply be a dip, a baking ingredient in cakes or as a soup base, enhance vegetables, and much more. NOA is therefore not "just" a delicious spread, but much more. What makes it so versatile is probably, on the one hand, the wide range of flavors, and on the other hand – here come the three NOA letters again – the natural raw materials, the original recipes (for each variety), and the authentic products at the end.

NOA as a bread spread

The concept sounds simple enough: "Pure nature!" This brings both potential and challenges. NOA isn't just for vegans and vegetarians, but for anyone who enjoys good food and is, or wants to be, mindful of their diet. Here's how it was for me: I first encountered NOA at a small introductory event before its launch in supermarkets. We dipped, sampled, devoured pizza bread with NOA sauce, and polished off vegan nut cake – also made with NOA, of course. My first thought, since I'm not personally affected by any dietary restrictions, wasn't whether the spread was vegan or anything else, but rather the taste experience itself. "Do I like what I'm eating, or not?" Absolutely! I tried every variety, (hopefully) discreetly emptied one jar of vegetable sticks after another, and grew increasingly fond of NOA. Only then did we receive numerous details about the product, including the "vegan, gluten-free, etc." claim. I was thrilled, I still am, and I'm getting more and more excited with every new bite, dip, or taste. So delicious! A definite plus for me is NOA's versatility: baking, dipping, spreading, snacking. My personal favorite? Definitely lentil curry and hummus with herbs. But hey...honestly...just buy all four varieties to try them out. At a very reasonable €1.79 per can – and you have to admit, you probably had a different price in mind – you can't complain.

Hard facts…exciting hard facts!

So, friends of good bread spreads… now for a little bit of technical talk and some facts for you – but it won't be scary, rather interesting. A study has revealed that 761,000 people plan to change their diet and eat less meat in the next 12 months. Don't panic, guys (and girls)! You can still have your steak (…NOA Hummus Herbs as a dip! Mmm!). The point is that less (!) meat should be eaten (!). NOA is leading the way in this trend and has managed to create a healthy, vegan, and therefore completely meat-free, as well as simply delicious product – on top of that, with unbeatable variety. GMOs, preservatives, and artificial flavors – forget it! Not here. NOA consists of legumes (chickpeas, lentils, or kidney beans) with a high proportion of plant-based protein, and a maximum of 10 ingredients are used per product. NOA is simple, simply delicious, and uncomplicated all at once. NOA thus appeals to a broad range of consumers: vegans, vegetarians, flexitarians and basically anyone who enjoys good food.

My personal NOA conclusion

And now for all you "Eww, vegan—I don't eat that!" readers: The young brand NOA shows just how delicious plant-based products can be, and that the completely and strictly opposed rejection of vegan products—sorry!—is utter nonsense. Believe me: Anyone who "doesn't realize they're eating something vegan" (should they be against it) will love NOA and will definitely reach for it again and again in the refrigerated section. Simply because it tastes so good. For those for whom veganism is their chosen diet/lifestyle: Congratulations on your new favorite spread! For everyone who simply wants to enjoy themselves and perhaps discard their prejudices: Give it a try! It's worth it. In my fridge—no joke—there's always NOA spread in it now. Simply because it's so wonderfully light, versatile, and colorful (both in terms of color and ingredients).
