Event Announcement | Rewe Family – Family Event with Street Food Market – Do you still remember my report about the REWE Family Family Festival 2016 Remember? This year, almost exactly a year later, the REWE Family event/festival is taking place again on the Theresienwiese. Since I now also report on the REWE City at the main train station and had a lot of fun at the event last year, it's only natural that I want to tell you about it again this year. On July 1, 2017 can you participate in the event? REWE Family on the Theresienwiese Spend the whole day feasting, marveling, watching and playing football, spending time with your little ones in the children's area and doing much, much more.

What can you expect at REWE Family?

During REWE Family at Theresienwiese, you can expect plenty of highlights. In the "REWE Your Kitchen Culinary Arena," information about cooking and nutrition will be shared and discussed; various celebrity chefs will reveal recipes and kitchen tips that you can take home. This year, there will also be a REWE Street Food Market with DJ music, while the stage area will feature various top acts and performances, as well as a presentation by Guido Cantz.

Anyone wanting to get dolled up for the event can do so right there in the REWE Beauty Lounge. And don't worry, gentlemen, you can relax in the REWE Football World and maybe even score some goals with your little ones. There's plenty on offer for children in general, with the REWE Kids' World providing entertainment and playful learning about food. The Bobby Car course for children will also be available again this year.

I'm particularly looking forward to the "REWE From Your Region" section, which focuses on many of the 400 products with "regional freshness" available in REWE stores. It explains that this not only ensures shorter delivery routes and therefore fresher produce, but also supports the local economy.

Anyone who finally wants to show that they have a green thumb should take part in the REWE Family loft bed promotion.

REWE Family at Theresienwiese – Street Food Market

Spending the whole day outdoors, or in this case, on the Theresienwiese, is bound to make you hungry. The best way to satisfy that hunger is at the Street Food Market, which entices visitors with the aromas wafting from various pots, the occasional refreshing drink, and exciting delicacies served straight from the food trucks. The crème de la crème of the food truck scene will be showcasing their skills, grilling, sizzling, chopping, and serving dishes cold, hot, and freshly prepared to order. You can enjoy your meal either while strolling through the festival grounds or relaxing in the chill lounge area.

REWE Family Stage Show and Music Stage

You all know that food is my main focus. But when I saw who will all be performing on the Music Stage on July 1st, I actually said "not bad!" a few times. From Stefanie Heinzmann, Gil Ofarim, and Wincent Weiss, to Madcon, Cat Ballou, and even the "Tagträumer" guys, there's a great selection of music on offer.

On stage, dancers, acrobats, and artists will showcase their skills. German slackline champion Marius Kitowski, Poppin Hood with a unique form of hip-hop, Sebastian Deeg with his rope-skipping performance, and FantastiX, who combine a variety of dance styles, will all be there. The group Power Percussion will provide plenty of drumming – sometimes even on shopping carts. So, it promises to be more than exciting in terms of music and performance.

You can reach REWE Family by public transport (U5/U4 – Theresienwiese) or by car. Visitor parking is available at two designated points on Bavariaring (near Matthias-Pschorr-Straße and Uhlandstraße). The REWE Family event is open on July 1st from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM. Admission is free. Dogs are not allowed on the premises. More information is available on the REWE Family website (su).
