MILLESIMA Bordeaux: Buy the best wines online Wine is an essential part of a good meal. While it doesn't always have to be, in my opinion, the right glass of wine enhances any meal – whether a simple snack or a multi-course dinner. Recently, I prepared a special Italian snack platter, featuring a variety of hams and cheeses. Since I wanted to find the perfect wine pairing for myself and my fellow snack-loving friends, I visited the Millesima website. I had stumbled upon this online wine shop specializing in high-quality wines a while ago while searching online and bookmarked the site for future reference. Now the time had come, and I was looking for a good Italian wine – one that was easy and enjoyable to drink, given the diverse preferences of everyone at the table. I decided to seize the opportunity and try Millesima.
Millesima Bordeaux – Online Wine Shop
Millesima is a company located in Bordeaux – the heart of the renowned wine region in southwestern France – specializing in the trade of premium wines. With over 2.5 million bottles in its cellars – including 12,000 magnums – the company has been a leading name in fine wines for more than 80,000 private customers since its founding in 1983. Millesima's portfolio includes between 100 and 250 wines in a wide variety of formats. These range from Crus Classés from all Bordeaux vintages of the last 15 years, to wines from the Rhône, Burgundy, and Alsace, as well as wines from other leading French regions. Top Italian producers have also recently been added to Millesima's selection.
Anyone looking for exquisite wines will certainly find what they're looking for here. Wines can be ordered by the case. You can create your own "wish box" and select from the wines available by the bottle. Your six-bottle case must have a minimum value of €100, which gives a rough benchmark for the quality of the wines offered. This doesn't mean that good wine always has to be expensive, nor that inexpensive wine is "cheap plonk." Nevertheless, Millésina's online shop, equipped with a very good filter system, tends to feature more premium wines on its virtual shelves. It's fun to browse through the different categories, price ranges, and regions and choose your wine. Even if you just want to try a single bottle, you'll need at least six bottles with the aforementioned minimum value. This might be seen as a disadvantage, but Millésina is also intended more for the more experienced wine drinker, or those who know their own taste in wine and can make a fairly accurate choice based on the comprehensive and detailed information presented about each wine. Depending on the wine, they are offered by the bottle or in cases of 6 or 12.
My wine selection at Millesima
Since I went to the website with a clear idea of what I wanted, I spent relatively little time selecting my wine and then spent much more time browsing the selection. After some deliberation, I chose an uncomplicated red wine from Tuscany, Italy, which I already knew from a previous trip there. Knowing that wine always tastes different and supposedly "better" on vacation and in its country of origin, I nevertheless decided to order a case of six for €99 to accompany my planned picnic. I chose a 2012 "Pian di Nova" from Il Boro, a blend of 75% Syrah and 25% Sangiovese. Unfortunately, one bottle broke during transport, which I attribute more to the delivery company than to Millesima. However, the intact bottles brought great joy to my group and me. Millesima handled the matter professionally and courteously and promptly sent a replacement. Intense aromas of blackberry, candied cherry, and a subtle spiciness evoke the intense Tuscan sun and mild climate on the palate; the 2012 vintage, in particular, with its intense summer heat, brings even more power to the wine's aromas. Framed by soft, juicy tannins, the Pian di Nova I selected offers both a pleasing simplicity and a harmonious interplay of flavors. Paired with fra
The wine impressed the group with its French, German, Italian, and Swiss cheese and sausage products. It is easy and uncomplicated to drink.
Want to try it?
If you'd like to try my wine, it's currently available (end of January 2019). here to buy. Otherwise, anyone with an affinity for good wines and rare vintages will surely enjoy browsing the Millesima website and perhaps treating themselves to a highlight or two. Of course, there's also the option of purchasing a gift voucher – beautifully packaged in an elegant black box with a ribbon, it will arrive at your door, allowing you to give your wine-loving friends (…and yourself…) a wonderful surprise. Millesima will definitely remain in my favorites and will certainly be used here and there for many a wine-related occasion.
