Stage show „Eating allowed!“ by Patric Heizmann

+++ Advertisement: This post was created in cooperation with Patric Heizmann (PR). Thank you for the book! +++

A few days ago, I was at the famous Munich slaughterhouse and saw the brand-new stage show by nutrition expert and fitness specialist Patric Heizmann. To be honest, until then I wasn't very knowledgeable about, or even attended, presentations and talks on the topics of nutrition, food, and related subjects. Sure, I was always interested, but consciously attending a lecture on the subject? Hmm. But now I know – thanks to Patric Heizmann's truly funny, informative, and educational show – that it can actually be fun to listen to and learn from an expert in this field. I've now found another source of information about food – and had a great time doing it. That's why I'd like to tell you a little more about it.

Patric Heizmann - Essen erlaubt -2If you haven't heard of Patric Heizmann yet, you're seriously out of touch. 😉 Let's change that: He's incredibly well-known (and very athletic) for his entertaining stage shows. His latest is called "Eating Allowed!" and tackles nutritional myths and questions, false diet fads, and the ever-growing hysteria that modern people create around their food intake. Since I'm pretty much obsessed with restaurants, food, appetite, and the latest food and drink products all day long, I was naturally curious to find out what it was all about and whether there was anything I didn't already know. 😉 So, I went to Patric Heizmann's recent Munich premiere of "Eating Allowed!" and was blown away. Of course, I had no idea what to expect.

The show addresses questions like "What do you call an overweight vegan?", "When should you absolutely not eat chocolate?" ("Always" is wrong!), "WhatPatric Heizmann - Essen erlaubt -4 "Is a second-hand vegan?" and "Is tofu really exclusively healthy?" are just some of the questions that will be explored. Nutritional questions like "What's the best thing to eat on the go?", "How much sugar is in my sausage?", and "Is superfood really super?" will also be examined. But don't worry: you won't find a boring lecture where you don't understand half of it due to technical jargon and your lack of a medical degree, or where you've already forgotten it by the time you leave. Instead, you'll get a genuinely entertaining program in which Patric Heizmann, in a relaxed and approachable way, engages the audience and explains what we believe, what we should believe, and what we can change. Prepare to be surprised.

I definitely laughed a lot, learned a lot, and took a lot away with me. I don't want to give too much away, because if you're interested in the topic of nutrition and what you actually eat and drink all day long, I would really recommend watching the show. You can watch it online. Tour dates View the locations and choose your preferred date. You can expect to hear many interesting and previously unheard facts, and old nutrition myths will be debunked. In an engaging and relaxed manner, it will be explained what we are (mistakenly) convinced of and how much of it is nonsense or even true. Throughout the presentation, the audience repeatedly erupted in thunderous applause for the numerous laughs, jokes, and hilarious anecdotes from Heizmann's private life and surroundings. These ranged from barbecues and vegan neighbors to supposedly scientifically proven facts about nutrition.

Furthermore, after the show you'll know what the Snow White Complex is, why Popeye (mistakenly) ate so much spinach, and that you shouldn't stress so much when you have an appetite or are hungry. Because that's also what it's about: listening to your gut feeling, trusting your appetite, and not giving in to certain weaknesses so easily. All in all, an interesting and very worthwhile program from AZ. Far from it, anyone who thinks they're in for a tedious string of endless lists of "forbidden" foods and calorie sins is in for a surprise. "Eating Allowed!" shows, on the contrary, that it's perfectly acceptable to indulge sometimes, and that no diet in the world really works. Good inner values, a zest for life, and a healthy appetite are much more effective at shedding the pounds. This and much, much more is covered in the show.

Patric Heizmann - Essen erlaubt -3So don't panic: The good news is obvious, indeed, it's the show's title: Eating is allowed, should be enjoyable, and can be surprisingly simple: Open your mouth, put the food in, and swallow – our digestive system takes care of the rest. Much of the fundamentals of nutrition haven't really changed, even after thousands of years. Despite all the fuss the food industry and consumers make about the topic of "food intake." In the past, we ate what the fields provided – today, we pop around the corner to the supermarket and grab a handful of readily available, ready-to-cook, and vacuum-packed foods. A daily luxury, but one that also means we suddenly have to think about "What do I actually want to eat?" Patric Heizmann's brand-new, approximately two-hour stage show explores all these questions.

During the 20-minute break, you can purchase Patric Heizmann's interesting books. One of them, his newest book, available since mid-October, shares the same title as his new stage show, "Eating Allowed!" It explains everything you need to know to feel better in the long term in an entertaining and easy-to-understand way. The book serves not only as a guide but also addresses both the physical requirements and societal expectations surrounding proper nutrition. (Available for €9.99) here (contains advertising links) (to buy) and I will tell you a little about it once I'm done with it.

Watch the show and get some new perspectives on nutrition and what's allowed. And eat lots of eggs. You'll find out why in the show. Enjoy!
