One person's joy is another's sorrow, but we can all agree on one thing – whether you're a Christmas Grinch or a Christmas fanatic: Christmas is simply one of the best times of year for really good food! What's more, December, with all its holidays, inevitably brings with it the occasional culinary indulgence, which, after a stressful year, is something we all like to treat ourselves to in a more lavish way. The whole city beckons with (pre-)Christmas delicacies and menus. I've already checked out a few and today I want to encourage you to spend part of your Christmas at the Hard Rock Cafe Munich – complete with a Christmas menu, rock music, and a festive atmosphere.

I probably don't need to introduce the Hard Rock Cafe itself to most people, as its restaurants worldwide are certainly familiar to everyone. I've sat there many times, eaten a burger, and drunk one of the many delicious cocktails. I even won a burger competition as part of the "World Burger Tour," which put my self-created burger on the menu at the Munich Hard Rock Cafe for a month.
In addition to numerous special offers and themed weeks featuring individual burgers and meals including a drink, there's also a tempting offer for the upcoming Christmas season: the 2018 Christmas menu with the theme "Party like a Rockstar." All you have to do is reserve a table at the Hard Rock Cafe Munich located at Platzl, and the kitchen crew will conjure up a cool menu for you. Let's take a look at what's on offer: When making your reservation, you choose between two or three courses, priced at €27.95 or €35.95 respectively as part of the Christmas menu – including a welcome drink to get you in the festive spirit. Once you've finished your drink or taken your seat, you can choose between two appetizers ("Winter Salad" or "Nacho Taster") and select your main course. The choices include "Grilled salmon with mashed potatoes and seasonal vegetables," "Barbecue combo with ribs and pulled pork, served with French fries, cowboy beans, and coleslaw," or one of six Hard Rock burgers selected for the menu ("Original Legendary Burger," "Barbecue Bacon Cheeseburger," "Atomic Burger," "Guinness & Bacon Jam Cheeseburger," "The Big Cheeseburger," "Vegetarian Quinoa & Black Bean Burger"). Dessert is a fixed option and, with "Christmas brownie with hot chocolate sauce, vanilla ice cream, and fresh whipped cream," is sure to evoke festive feelings—both in the heart and the stomach.

What I particularly like is that a "do-it-yourself burger buffet" is offered for smaller groups upon request. This means a buffet is set up in the room, allowing you to assemble your own (desired) burger and top it to your heart's content. Incidentally, if you're still looking for the perfect Christmas gift for someone truly special...e Anyone looking for a Hard Rock Cafe experience can have the included welcome drink served in a souvenir glass and take it home as the perfect gift.

The Chapel Lounge pictured here is not only very cozy, but can also be booked for Christmas parties of 15 to 30 people. Why not go out for burgers with your company, department, or a group of friends? If you come on a Friday or Saturday, a minimum spend will be required for Christmas parties or other celebrations. Otherwise, anything is possible, and you can discuss everything from a presentation (…great Christmas party… ;-)) to a karaoke night, etc.
