Schlemmermeyer Delicatessen in Füssen – The Grand Opening || A while ago I told you about Schlemmermeyer Delikatessen reports. Together, we took a look at the origins, philosophy, and history of this gourmet food provider and explored the "decorate highlights." Those who have read my article know that Schlemmermeyer has multiple locations throughout Germany and has been working on further expansion. Now the time has come, and Schlemmermeyer Delikatessen recently opened its 17th branch. So, as food lovers and gourmets, you can join me in celebrating a new destination and Schlemmermeyer branch for the finest gourmet foods in Füssen's old town.
Schlemmermeyer Delicatessen in Füssen – The Grand Opening
Since its founding in 1975, Schlemmermeyer has stood for top quality and culinary delights in gourmet foods and delicacies. A diverse selection of premium sausages, fine cheeses, delicate hams, fresh antipasti, and many other top-quality products awaits you. In addition to products of the highest quality, sourced from long-standing partners, friendliness, regional sourcing, and variety are also hallmarks of Schlemmermeyer.
Now, in addition to residents of Munich, Stuttgart, Karlsruhe, Heidelberg, Mannheim, Darmstadt, Bonn, Cologne, Düsseldorf, Essen, Berlin, Hanover, Hamburg, and Bremen, the Bavarian residents of Füssen can also enjoy a Schlemmermeyer branch. Since mid-April 2022, the newest and 17th Schlemmermeyer branch, a shop of approximately 35 square meters, has been open in the center of Füssen.
When you shop at Schlemmermeyer Delikatessen in Füssen, you can look forward to traditional gourmet products (sausages, ham, salami, cheeses, etc.), various "to-go" items, and select Munich delicacies. For example, you can expect fine Munich white sausages and gourmet Leberkäse (a type of meatloaf); as well as fresh quiches (vegetable, Lorraine, salmon and spinach, and spinach and goat cheese); numerous raw vegetable salads; homemade cream cheese; fine desserts (such as Schlemmer Cup, rice pudding, and cherry tarts); various crisp salads; and much more. A hot food counter with schnitzel, meatballs, and other dishes is also part of the new opening.
A friendly, three-person team is on hand to assist you – typical of all Schlemmermeyer branches – offering advice and support with your selection. I personally appreciate that the staff were retained from the previously located delicatessen (formerly "Käseglocke") during the takeover, ensuring you can expect the same expertise in gourmet food in Füssen.

We have products from both Munich and the Allgäu region ready for you. Naturally, all of the highest quality!
Naturally, I wanted to know all the details about the counter's offerings after the grand opening, so I asked around. Both the extensive selection of homemade raw vegetable salads (e.g., tomato mozzarella, tuna, egg, chicken breast) and the numerous homemade deli products on site are well worth a visit.
Be sure to try the Allgäu cheese and bread, pick up some delicious organic eggs from the local farm, and let the staff advise you on a selection of cheeses and hams to suit your individual preferences and tastes. Oh, and don't forget to check out the cozy atmosphere and rustic design of the shop – it's perfectly in keeping with the beautiful Allgäu region.
When asked, Schlemmermeyer stated: „We are very happy about our new opening and delighted that with the opening of a branch in Füssen, we can continue to gradually realize our expansion plans for Schlemmermeyer Delikatessen. This is an important step for us, also to expand our presence in tourist regions,“ said Schlemmermeyer Delikatessen Managing Director Jürgen Krins. He continued: „We would also like to sincerely thank the city of Füssen for its support and are very pleased to be a part of this beautiful Bavarian town.“
Thumbs up for Schlemmermeyer's continued commitment to regionality and top quality in Füssen! They are currently in intensive discussions with local suppliers to continuously expand their product range, and Schlemmermeyer Delikatessen in Füssen is offering an ever-growing selection of high-quality Füssen delicacies. We can already reveal that this autumn you can expect premium game products and other fantastic seasonal delicacies. And for those of you who enjoy lunch at Schlemmermeyer, you're in luck! They're planning a lunch menu in Füssen, where you can enjoy filled paninis, sandwiches, and other treats at comfortable outdoor tables.
Sounds great, doesn't it? – My tip for you: Stop by Schlemmermeyer Delikatessen in Füssen and experience the grand opening for yourself. Stroll through the heart of Füssen, enjoy the Bavarian air, and stop by the new shop for the finest delicacies and high-quality gourmet foods. I recommend picking up a variety of cheeses, sausages, and hams, as well as some raw salads, snacks, and other treats – that's what I always do when I shop at Schlemmermeyer and treat myself to some premium gourmet delicacies.
