Advance notice: GRUNER goes HARRY KLEIN on November 26, 2015

Today I'd like to announce another cool event. It's all about wine, and really good wine at that. To be precise, six amazing winemakers from the Austrian Weinviertel region will be presenting the trendy wine from New York bars – Grüner Veltliner, also known as "Gruner." The event will take place on November 26th at one of Munich's hottest clubs, Harry Klein. The motto of the evening is "Gruner Goes Harry Klein," and it all kicks off at 6:30 pm (until 11:00 pm).

If you previously contacted Culinarium Bavaricum If you register in advance, you only pay a one-time fee of €8 per person (saving you €10 compared to the €18 price at the door) and essentially get "all inclusive": wine, finger food, and great music. I'll definitely be there, celebrating the "Beats in a Glass" and kicking off the weekend on Thursday. The six Austrian winemakers will be pouring their Grüner Veltliners, accompanied by finger food from Stenz and hot funk/electro sounds from DJ Gallo. A rather unusual but very cool way to experience wine tasting, in my opinion.

Those who read my blog regularly know that I've often reported on fantastic wine events and tastings by Culinarium Bavaricum. At their various wine events, Culinarium Bavaricum presents only the finest wines, serves Michelin-star-worthy cuisine, and consistently ensures that guests have a wonderful experience. Ultimately, it's quite simple: once you've been to a Culinarium Bavaricum event, nothing ever tastes the same again. Once you've tasted something better, you're hooked. That's what Culinarium Bavaricum is known for, and that's why I'm so looking forward to the Grüner Veltliner and the party at Harry Klein.

Here's some more information about the wine: The spicy and peppery Grüner Veltliner is the quintessential wine of the Weinviertel region in Austria. It's easily recognizable by its light to greenish-yellow color and, of course, its spicy, slightly peppery flavor. It's ideal for wine lovers who enjoy a spicy, fruity, and dry wine profile. It's no wonder that Grüner Veltliner is Austria's largest and most successful single-origin wine brand.

As for the Gruner Goes Harry Klein party: only the finest wines that Austria's Weinviertel region has to offer will be served that evening. The aim is to celebrate, taste, and have fun. Harry Klein is a well-known club in Munich. Numerous performances by both newcomers and established artists have already taken place there.

The fact that you're drinking quality wine is evident from the "Weinviertel DAC" label on the wine. What exactly does that mean? DAC stands for "Districtus Austriae Controllatus," meaning a "controlled Austrian designation of origin." Only certified, regionally typical quality wines from Austria receive this seal. Regarding the Weinviertel region itself, it was the first Austrian wine-growing region to consciously commit to the distinct and consistently recognizable character of its Grüner Veltliner in 2003. This guarantee of quality and origin is now internationally recognized.

So… sign up quickly, save €10, and experience a fantastic evening at Harry Klein for just €8. The club is located on Sonnenstraße in Munich, not far from Stachus, and easily accessible by bus, train, tram, bike, or on foot. 🙂 So, whether you're new to wine or, conversely, Grüner Veltliner is one of your favorites: head to Harry Klein on November 26th at 6:30 pm. I'm really looking forward to it. If you recognize me, just raise a glass and bring me some finger food and wine. :-).
