My Q | Low-fat quark cream – As you all know, I'm always testing products. Whenever I really like something, or find it worth mentioning, I want to share my opinion with you. Recently, I did just that again. This time it's fruit quark – more precisely, the "Mein Q" quark cream, which has only been available in supermarkets for a few days and comes in five different flavors.
I don't really need to describe quark itself, as everyone has surely eaten it at some point. We all know that quark keeps you full longer than, for example, yogurt, and is a popular snack among athletes and fitness enthusiasts, as well as the basis for numerous sports-related meals. "Mein Q" quark takes it a step further, providing an extra protein boost with 12.5g of protein per 100g. Add to that a mere 0.41g of fat and less than 4g of carbohydrates per 100g, and of course, great taste with every spoonful. In short: Delicious, diverse quark varieties with little fat and carbohydrates, but plenty of protein – that's what the new "Mein Q" quarks are all about.
„My Q“ Quark Cream: The Varieties
Besides the plain flavor, the quark comes in four other varieties: lemon, orange, raspberry, and vanilla. I've tried all of them over the past three days and have already found my personal favorites. A common feature of all the varieties is that you can clearly taste each flavor, but none of them are too sweet or intense. There are always fruit creams, quark, or yogurts that leave you feeling uncomfortably full after just three or four spoonfuls, leaving a sugary, artificial aftertaste. "Mein Q" has a mild flavor, yet clearly tastes of the respective fruit—light and delicious. My new favorite quark is definitely "Mein Q" raspberry and vanilla. I filled small glasses with both flavors for breakfast and topped them with different muesli. I tried all the varieties, but these two were particularly delicious. With citrus fruits like lemon and orange, I often get a strange aftertaste—no matter the product—but even that wasn't the case here. The „Mein Q“ lemon quark cream is a bit sour in my opinion, but still tastes fresh and fruity.
Ideal for athletes: High in protein, low in fat
They're all worth trying. A 250-gram tub will definitely fill you up. The quark cream is wonderful to eat with a spoon before or after exercise, or as a snack anytime. The quark is perfect for athletes, but also for breakfast lovers when combined with muesli, fresh fruit, or cereal. A little more detail for the athletes among you: "Mein Q" natural quark contains 151T3T more protein than conventional low-fat quark and offers the absolute maximum protein in the form of a quark cream. This serves as an ideal base for a wide variety of fitness recipes – sometimes pure and creamy, sometimes refined with muesli and other ingredients as a dessert. The quark can also be used for savory tzatziki or herb quark. The "Natural" variety is available in both 250-gram and 500-gram tubs. "Mein Q" quark products are free of refined sugar and contain the natural sugars fructose from the fruit and lactose from the milk, as well as a small amount of sweetener. The natural quark contains no added sweeteners at all, apart from the naturally occurring lactose present in all varieties.
My personal conclusion
I personally love eating yogurt or quark for breakfast or as a snack. So why not try the new "Mein Q" quark cream and eat healthily? For me, it's always important how I feel after eating a particular product or dish. If it sits too heavily in my stomach or I feel overstuffed afterward, I'll choose something else next time. That's not the case with the "Mein Q" quark creams. After eating, I felt the same as before, only satisfied and without any cravings. The quark also gave me enough energy for exercise and my subsequent cardio workout. (Okay... I admit, I did snack on one without exercising afterward ;-)...). All in all, I really like the quark creams. I appreciate the mild flavor, the knowledge of their high protein content, and the versatility of the different varieties. Next time you're at a Real or Edeka supermarket, don't miss the refrigerated section without trying the quark.
„My Q“ Quark cream to go
Also practical: The "Mein Quark" quark cream is also available "To Go" in handy squeeze pouches. I bought two of these (orange and raspberry – there aren't any other flavors currently available in pouches) to try them out. Again, I have to say: I prefer using a spoon because the taste experience is simply different for me, but the quark creams are still a great option for on the go. I put one of the pouches in my handbag, but forgot about it during the day and was hungry in the afternoon. I was delighted when I remembered my healthy "Mein Q" snack and was actually satisfied after eating it on the go. Those who enjoy baking and cooking a bit more will find the corresponding recipe on the website. Website "Mein Q" offers a wide range of recipes that can be created with their delicious quark creams. Grab a few tubs – I recommend at least raspberry, vanilla, and plain – and let me know if you're as enthusiastic as I am.

Thanks for the tips!
I don't know if the question-and-answer feature is still available, but I'll give it a try! My question concerns quark as a protein source. I'd like to know about your experiences with it. For me, someone who has relied on quark for years and has always been criticized for it by friends, I'm starting to wonder if I'm on the right track. I've also noticed that if I replace the same amount of protein in quark with meat, for example, I get much "harder." You especially notice the difference when you're dieting. Has anyone else had similar experiences? A quick reply would be really appreciated! Best, Erwin
