Personal conclusion, interesting facts about the surrounding area and booking

Together with my companion, I had the pleasure of attending Sunday brunch at the Midgardhaus and enjoyed three wonderful hours on the sunny terrace. Waves created by passing ships lapped against the shore, the sun shone on our faces, and the attractively presented courses and dishes were served to us one after the other, without any time pressure.

I'm not exaggerating when I say that for three hours I enjoyed the perfect "holiday feeling" at the table and completely forgot that I was only a short hour away from home. The service was exceptionally attentive and warm; the food was all delicious and freshly prepared. They happily accommodated your individual requests and answered any questions about the courses.

Picturesquely beautiful: The view from the summer terrace while you brunch/dine.

I personally enjoyed every dish. However, I especially loved the homemade bouillabaisse, the delicate truffle pasta, and the final crêpes Suzette. The ambiance – I want to emphasize this again – is absolutely unbeatable, and anyone who hasn't yet experienced this "gastronomic gem by the lake" should take advantage of the Sunday brunch, a visit to the beer garden, or the opportunity to dine à la carte to discover the Midgardhaus – Augustiner am See.

Reserve your spot via the website and enjoy yourselves. When I inquired, restaurateur Michael Urban informed me that a spot on the terrace is usually reserved for those who decide to come at the last minute, and everyone is welcome – even if just for a refreshing Aperol Spritz and/or a small snack.

Conclusion: Thumbs up! Be sure to visit Midgardhaus – at least once for Sunday brunch! I've definitely found my new favorite spot for cozy summer evenings and fantastic Sunday brunches. During the autumn and winter months, I'll also be sampling the à la carte menu and giving you a closer look at the restaurant and its offerings.

Below the information box, you'll find a gallery of images with many more impressions. I'm sure you'll feel right at home! It's best to reserve seats for yourself and your loved ones right away. Have fun!
