„"Wirt's House – Dining with Locals" is a definite "must-have." What is Wirt's House? It guarantees a fantastic experience for all Munich natives, newcomers, and all open-minded people. I came across Wirt's House because I simply wanted to see what opportunities there were – even for me, as a Munich native – to connect with food, cooking, or being cooked for, while also meeting new people. I quickly found the website of the eight-person Wirt's House team, took a closer look at the concept, and was thrilled. That's why I want to share it with you – to learn a little more and, of course, to join in!.

New supper club in Munich: Wirt's House

To put it simply: Wirt's House is a platform that allows you to easily participate in, organize, and attend food and cooking events, as well as make new connections. You can be a (hobby) cook and host, or a guest at an event already organized by a host and cook. Wirt's House sets no limits. You can plan and host your event with all kinds of people, in groups of all sizes, for any imaginable gathering that involves food, cooking, sitting together, and dining. If you'd like to apply to be a host and cook, all you have to do is register and let us know what kind of event you're planning, how many people you're expecting, and the price you've set for each participant's meal. Whether guests need to bring drinks or desserts, or even their own chair to sit on 😉, is entirely up to you as the host.

So, for example, if you enjoy cooking, are planning an evening with a set menu, and have already invited three friends, but would prefer a larger group and want to meet new people, you can contact Wirt's House with some advance notice to find people for your evening. But don't be fooled into thinking it always has to be a five-course meal. Even if you're just looking for nice people in Munich to sit with in a relaxed atmosphere, chat, or watch a movie while you offer simple snacks, Wirt's House is the ideal platform. And it's even simpler: Are you planning to cook a big pot of chili or delicious pasta, but don't like eating alone or eating the same dish for weeks on end? No problem! Just make a little extra and let Wirt's House know that you have X portions to share on day X, and you'll be visible on Wirt's House as a potential host of a "small event" in Munich. You set the price for your menu entirely freely and according to your own assessment, and then pass it on to Wirt's House. They will take care of the payment and transfer to your account. As a chef, you receive a full 100 %. As a guest, you pay an additional 10 % to the portal on top of the event price of your chosen event.

A supper club for everyone

Even for people like me, who aren't particularly comfortable in the kitchen, Wirt's House is the perfect platform. It offers the opportunity to simply meet nice people by registering as a guest, perhaps bringing something to drink (depending on the event and the host's preference), and then nothing stands in the way of a pleasant evening in good company – whether you're a newcomer or a long-time Munich resident. Whether it's two people, five people, or larger groups – anything is possible, and all types of cuisine are welcome in a private setting. Currently, only Munich residents can enjoy the services of the relatively new company "Wirt's House," but starting this summer, Viennese residents will also have the chance to meet new people in their city in a relaxed, informal, and uncomplicated way. The advantages are clear: you meet new people, have enjoyable evenings, can earn some extra money as a professional or hobby cook, showcase your skills, and also allow newcomers in the city to make personal connections.

Wirt's House is looking for chefs, hobby cooks and cooking enthusiasts.

Therefore, in this case: If, for example, you are a talented cook, or know a passionate home cook who has been looking for the opportunity to cook for more people than just your girlfriend or family, then you can recommend that they register. Wirt's House uniquely brings together great food, good chefs, and cosmopolitan people around a table – uncomplicated, relaxed, and always in new locations with new faces. This isn't a one-off event, but rather joining a fantastic platform that allows you to be part of a diverse group of people connected through culinary experiences. It's best to register directly. here I enjoyed being constantly surprised – both by the people I didn't know and by the culinary skills. Since anyone who fits the profile can participate, there are all sorts of imaginable menu variations – whether it's a vegetarian evening, a four-course tasting menu, a lively cocktail evening, a relaxed burger night, or even just pretzels on the table for a chat – Wirt's House makes it possible.

Don't be intimidated if your cooking skills are limited, because everyone who enjoys good food and sharing it with new people is welcome here. You can choose a menu from the website, posted online by a registered and pre-vetted host via Wirt's House, and become one of the many guests – true to the spirit of a traditional supper club. Imagine sitting around a dining table in someone's home with (still) strangers, getting to know each other, and leaving happy, full, and satisfied. Starting in early March, you can post your events and, after registering, indulge your culinary creativity – privately and with fresh ideas – through Munich's Wirt's House. Here Let's move on to existing events. I hope you have fun and I'm curious to hear what you have to say.

Since service, value for money, food, and atmosphere vary at each event, the rating will be based on my usual points system. Payment for your chosen event, as mentioned, is made via bank transfer (PayPal) to Wirt's House. Have fun!

Hi Bianca, that's an interesting concept. Do you know what happened with the team and the start-up? Unfortunately, there's nothing about it on the website. Best regards, Raphael
