Summer locations for your events in Munich Summer is finally here – and all of Munich is out and about. I recently met up with an acquaintance, and as usual, we talked about food and restaurants in Munich. Her upcoming birthday party led us to discuss event venues and their ups and downs in the city.

Since their search took quite a while, the idea arose to present you with the best summer event locations. I set out to find a partner for the perfect event locations and I Event Inc Found them. BIRDIE – ideal for small to medium-sized events in a relaxed setting

Birdie is a popular daytime bar and event venue in Munich. The bar boasts a modern and clean design, yet maintains a cozy and inviting atmosphere. It's the perfect place to relax, enjoy conversation, savor delicious food, and host private and business events in a fantastic setting. If you choose Birdie as your event location, you won't have to worry about a thing, as it comes equipped with a dance floor, sound system, lighting, and a mixing console. Nothing stands in the way of a lively party. I particularly love Birdie's spacious outdoor area. In the summer, the large open-air space is a real highlight, ideal for hosting a BBQ with your guests. It's also perfect for brunch, lunch, or smaller private celebrations. The bar can accommodate up to 100 people (not a minimum). It's a great place to spend a few pleasant hours, and if you enjoy live cooking and show cooking, Birdie's integrated show kitchen makes it the perfect venue for you. On Birdie's website you can also find the changing weekly menu with different dishes from €3.50 to approximately €5.50.

MS WEITBLICK – ideal for events with a special outdoor ambience

MS Weitblick offers three event spaces of varying sizes ("Leib und Seele," "MS Panorama," and "MS Konferenz") for events and functions. These spaces, available in a range of sizes, offer versatile use. All are stylishly furnished, feature a modern design, and are located near the popular Olympic Park – making them easily accessible by public transport. In addition to the total 1,000 m² of available space, I personally find the 220 m² wraparound roof terrace (part of the "MS Panorama" area) to be the absolute highlight. Here you can host private parties as well as small to large corporate events. Especially on summer days, it's a wonderful place to celebrate, and the light-filled spaces lend a special charm to any event.

STIGLERIE – ideal for medium-sized events in a central location

The Stiglerie at Stiglmaierplatz in Munich's Maxvorstadt district is the ideal event location for anyone needing space for approximately 50 to 250 people. I walk past this chic building with its unique, fully enveloping glass facade almost daily and often dine in its restaurant. The venue offers an unobstructed view of the popular Stiglmaierplatz and is easily accessible by public transport via subway and tram. The Stiglerie also features outdoor areas with two fountains in a tranquil setting, perfect for relaxing outdoors. It's ideal for lounge events, business receptions, and conferences. Private birthday parties (for 50 people or more) can also be held at the Stiglerie. The venue is divided into two levels. The lower level houses the bar and ample seating, while the open gallery is also available for dining and celebrations. On summer days, dining, celebrating, and relaxing in the Stiglerie's outdoor seating area is, of course, always possible. Numerous tables are set up in the sun in front of the restaurant.

GAS METER WORKSHOP – ideal for unusual ambience

The Gas Meter Workshop is a real insider tip as a venue for a fantastic event. Built in 1906, it once belonged to the Munich municipal gasworks. After standing empty for some time, it was completely renovated and now serves as an event and conference center. It offers space for approximately 500 people across a generous 1,100 square meters. Located in the north of Munich, the Gas Meter Workshop has, in my opinion, a special charm and offers versatile and flexible options for a wide variety of events.

The centerpiece is undoubtedly the large event hall, including the foyer. Upstairs, there are meeting rooms that can be rented by the hour and, thanks to their various sizes (from approximately 20 m² to approximately 150 m²), are suitable for any type of event. The Gaszählerwerkstatt (Gas Meter Workshop) has a dedicated catering partner who will provide your guests with food of your choice at your events. Here, especially under a blue sky and sunshine, you'll quickly feel at ease at any kind of event.
