Bio Brothers – I've been out and about a lot these past few days, eating out almost exclusively, and my couch, or even my entire apartment, hasn't seen me in ages. 🙂 So, I have to admit, I was really craving a relaxing evening at home. Since I've been eating quite a bit of Bavarian food lately, and I also wanted to try something new – as usual 😉 – I checked out Lieferheld again. As you know from my previous reviews, Lieferheld recently offered sushi, pizza, Thai food, and Indian dishes.
And now you can probably guess what was on the menu this time, right? That's right! Burgers! But not just any burgers, organic burgers from the Bio Brüder (Organic Brothers) in Ottobrunn. Along with them, a delicious (also organic) salad with goat cheese, apple, and walnuts, potato wedges, and—something I really liked, but which might not appeal to everyone—two mini cakes in a tin. I know, I know…it might sound like "nobody needs that," but you should definitely try them first and (if necessary) then complain. The cakes—you can see them in the photos—are packaged in small tins, and you can easily enjoy them over time after delivery. So, these little tinned cakes, which you can order as dessert from the organic delivery service in Ottobrunn, are totally my thing. Extremely fresh, soft, and fluffy. (Yes, I know, you can bake a cake yourself super quickly and easily… blah blah… ;-)… but when it's 11 pm and I want a "fresh-tasting" cake, these little "tinned wonders" are perfect!) I had one cow-shaped gelato cake (yes, that's how it's spelled here) and one plum-almond cake. Because my eyes were bigger than my stomach that evening, I naturally couldn't finish the whole cake and was even able to finish it off the next day while it was still fluffy. Give it a try!
So, since I've already dedicated an entire (and fitting) paragraph to dessert, thus giving away the conclusion, I'll move directly to the burgers and the Bio Brüder (Organic Brothers) themselves. The Bio Brüder are located in Ottobrunn, just south of Munich, and produce wonderfully fresh burgers, salads, sides, and desserts made with organic ingredients. They'll soon be adding pizzas to their menu – organic, of course. However, when I inquired, they couldn't give me a specific date, so don't be misled by the name "Organic Pizza and Burger Delivery Service." Personally, I'd love to order an organic pizza right now, but we'll just have to wait and see.
As for the rest of the menu: There's a lunch menu available, offering a burger, a fresh salad, and a meat or vegetarian dish. Since everything on this menu is also organic, the prices for the lunch specials (dish + drink) range from €10.90 to €14.90 – depending on what you're in the mood for at lunchtime. The salads, on the other hand, range in price from €8.90 to €14.90 and all come from guaranteed organic and certified organic farming. The Bio Brüder (Organic Brothers) receive daily deliveries of completely chemical-free salads from the region. What's more, all the salad and vegetable producers for the seasonal salad creations are certified organic farmers from Bavaria. Cool, right? So you're definitely eating a little piece of Bavaria when you order from the Bio Brüder. 😉 The same applies to the current selection of 11 different (and rotating) organic burgers: Whether it's the bread, lettuce, onions, or the juicy, locally sourced beef – all products come from certified organic farms and are free of flavor enhancers, colorings, or other additives. As a further major plus, the Bio Brüder team processes all (!) the products fresh daily, and all ingredients are demonstrably of excellent organic quality.
So far, so good, but what good is all that if it doesn't taste good? None at all! But I can put your minds at ease: the burgers we ordered (one "Vegetable Hunter" (vegetarian / €8.90) and one "Lumberjack Burger" (with meat / €10.90)) tasted fantastic. I ordered my vegetarian burger (optional) with a pretzel bun (you have to like that!) and was completely satisfied. The meat on the Lumberjack Burger was also fresh and noticeably high quality. All the burgers are priced between €8.90 and €12.90 – meaning neither significantly cheaper nor more expensive than a "non-organic burger" in a restaurant. We also got extra potato wedges (€3.90 and a very reasonable portion) and an organic apple juice (naturally cloudy, 1 liter, from Voelkel). And because it sounded so tempting, I also ordered a "Shepherd's Delight Salad" (€8.90) with nuts, fruit, and goat cheese. Not to forget the tinned cakes for €4.90 each for dessert. (Sure, not cheap, but firstly, organic, and secondly, really delicious.) Ordering via the Lieferheld app took two minutes, delivery was lightning fast – under 30 minutes – and off we went to eat. Yes…I admit…it was a lot, but I was also very hungry. 🙂 So, naturally, I was all the happier that everything tasted great. The salad was crisp and truly 100%ig fresh. The burgers were hot, generous, and appetizing (as far as delivery burgers can go), and the potato wedges were also delicious.
Bio Brüder is, in my opinion, a rather unique delivery service. As mentioned, they exclusively use 100% organic and resource-conserving ingredients, some of which are even transformed into delicious dishes by chefs with Michelin-starred experience and nutrition experts. Browse their offerings on Lieferheld or directly on the Bio Brüder website. I think you'll definitely find something you like that meets your expectations. Especially if you're into organic food and don't want to go out late at night, Bio Brüder is a great option. I also appreciate that Lieferheld includes such "out-of-the-box" delivery services in its selection, making organic food enthusiasts happy. I was thrilled and will definitely order from Lieferheld again – maybe all the mini cakes this time! 😉
