TASTE & STYLE at Munich Airport | June 15–18, 2017 - Mine „"Bianca's Tasty Tour"“ My visit to Munich Airport is over. As part of this, I tested all the restaurants at the airport. But Munich Airport has much more to offer in terms of food. For example, last year there was also the reporting and announcement of the Food & Style Festival in August 2016 And this year, it will be delicious again! From Thursday, June 15th to Sunday, June 18th, 2017, because the next culinary highlight awaits you: The TASTE & STYLE at Munich Airport – a must for every foodie and gourmet fan.

TASTE & STYLE at Munich Airport – What can you expect?

This year, once again, a lot has been thought of for us as guests, and so TASTE & STYLE at Munich Airport offers a wide variety of culinary delights. Food trucks, select artisan producers, live cooking shows, and much more will be on offer over four days. For anyone who thinks that "food and drink" means much more than just being full and "settled" (i.e., having quenched their thirst), this year's Taste & Style is sure to be a true feast. Numerous exhibitors, food innovations, and food truckers will showcase their skills at TASTE & STYLE in the MAC Forum. Let's take a look at the exhibitors.

This year's culinary offerings are once again a colorful and diverse mix. "3Bears" offers delicious porridge mixes, "Chop&Roll Creamery" showcases the modern trend of "rolled" ice cream, while "Feinkost Luigi" presents the finest truffle specialties. I love truffles and will definitely stop by. "Hello Fresh" was also present last year and is demonstrating at this year's TASTE & STYLE at Munich Airport with individual cooking boxes, showing how easy it can be to cook fresh and healthy meals. "Marmeladenherz" brings lovingly crafted fruit spreads to Munich Airport for four days.„myChips Box“I’ve already introduced you to each of them individually. If you’re curious, you can try the boxes of delicious vegetable chips on-site for four days. If you’d like to take home some wheat brandy in a preserving jar, stop by „O’Donnell Moonshine.“ Completely new to me, but already on my „to do“ or „to try“ list. And if you couldn’t get enough of the delicious pulled pork burgers from Markt Schwaben last year, you’re in luck, because they’re back again this year!„Schweiger Brewery“with its own cabin on site.”.

Of course, enjoying yourself also includes something fine to drink, for which „Vins Son Cavaller“ provides the finest Mallorcan wines, while the „Wolfra Kelterei“ delights with Bavarian fruit juices. Food trucks are also well catered for at TASTE & STYLE at Munich Airport. For example, my friends from the „Burrito Company“(best burritos in Munich) is back again, as is „Jim’s Big Mouth“ with sustainable and regional street food (…completely new to me…) and „Leilanis Shave Ice“ with Hawaiian slushies. Vegan street food is also offered by „Chakula“ from their own food truck.

It will be varied, diverse, and super delicious! I'll definitely arrive hungry.

Exclusively at TASTE & STYLE – World Tapa Day!
On the first day, June 15, 2017 (…I'll be there…), it's "World Tapas Day." This is the third time it's been celebrated worldwide. Munich Airport was delighted to invite us all, along with Spain as the exclusive partner country, to celebrate with TASTE & STYLE. Spanish chefs will demonstrate to guests what makes typical tapas and Basque pintxos so special. Anyone who loves Spanish cuisine should definitely spend their holiday at the airport! Tips and tricks for delicious appetizers with a taste of Spanish holidays will also be shared. Fittingly, the first TASTE & STYLE day will conclude with traditional Spanish music and lively rhythms ("Calle Mambo").

And who all is cooking live?

Quite a few! From Tobi Stegmann – known from the TV show "The Taste" – with his own cookbook and restaurant in Landshut; Ludwig Maurer, known as "the German meat pope"; to world champion pastry chef Andrea Schirmaier-Huber (…I once raffled off a baking course with her…); Sebastian Copien, who has gained great renown and popularity as a professional chef of vegan dishes; to Heiko Antoniewicz – a true "culinary alchemist" and a leading figure in molecular gastronomy. Also joining them are Mora Fütterer (a grilling pro) and Christoph Brand (known for his unusual and creative cuisine). So, anyone who not only enjoys eating but also wants to learn from absolute professionals can look forward to a fantastic program.

Numerous experts will once again be performing on the live cooking stage this year.

TASTE & STYLE at Munich Airport takes place over four days, starting at noon each day. It's the perfect meeting place for foodies, food lovers, and anyone who enjoys the finer things in life. You can arrive by car or S-Bahn (suburban train) lines 1 and 8 (Munich Airport station). From there, it's just a short walk to the MAC Forum (the covered connecting area between Terminal 1 and Terminal 2). It's also worth noting that TASTE & STYLE visitors can park for up to five hours free of charge at Munich Airport. Simply park in parking lot P20 and present your ticket at the information desk in the MAC Forum to have it validated. Pretty cool, right? Other partners of TASTE & STYLE at Munich Airport include eat & style, EDEKA, and, in celebration of their Spanish partnership, "I need Spain." For those who can only make it in the evening: it's worth it too, because popular bands perform daily with a musical program that you can listen to while enjoying fine snacks and great drinks.
