NEW! Annam Grill – authentic Vietnamese cuisine –I recently visited the newly opened restaurant "Annam Grill" at the end of April this year. This is the second restaurant in the chain, with the first located on Pestalozzistraße in the center of Munich. Annam Grill specializes in Vietnamese cuisine, offering authentic Vietnamese dishes in a pleasant atmosphere with friendly service. Besides its authentic specials on the menu, the restaurant is known, among other things, for its tabletop grills, which allow guests to cook their own food while seated at their table.

Testing and selection of dishes
During my recent visit, my companion and I opted for two different appetizers („Canh Ga Nuoc Cot Dua“ soup with chicken, coconut milk, lemongrass, various mushrooms, galangal and lemon leaves for €6.90 or €12.90 and „Tom Chien Com“ – prawns in a crispy rice coating with homemade mango sauce for €8.90), two non-alcoholic cocktails („Fred & Ginger“ with ginger ale, mint mojito, lime, ginger and mint and the „Kumquat Ginger Tea“ with freshly squeezed kumquats, ginger, soda and ginger ale for €6.90 each) and two different main courses („Tom“ with prawns – rice paper, rice noodles, cucumbers, bean sprouts, lettuce leaves, fresh herbs and three different sauces for 22.90 euros and „Rice Bed“ with mixed meat (beef/chicken/prawns/calamari), garlic and vegetables for 19.90 euros).
Bright colors, stylish decor – the Annam Grill Restaurant
We took our seats at a corner table for two in one of the three rooms of the colorfully decorated restaurant. Annam Grill is stylishly and harmoniously furnished. Relaxing background music, subdued lighting, and fresh flowers on the pre-set tables create a pleasant atmosphere. The dishes we ordered were served quickly and attractively presented. Both the non-alcoholic cocktails and the appetizers were not only delicious but also visually appealing. The main courses, served at just the right interval after the appetizers, continued to impress us with their presentation and flavor. The portions are generous, and the price is reasonable. Vietnamese cuisine makes extensive use of fresh herbs, vegetables, and fruity sauces. Everything was fresh, high-quality, and delicious. If you enjoy being hands-on at the table, I highly recommend doing what I did and ordering the rice paper rolls to roll and fill yourself.

Personal opinion
In my opinion, there's not much to criticize; I only wish they'd offered a bit more input when I asked for a recommendation from the menu. Purely in terms of the food, the restaurant definitely gets a thumbs up. As soon as this newly opened Annam Grill restaurant has its open grilling stations at the tables (…still a work in progress…), I'll be back to try and enjoy it again. However, I can already recommend a visit, because in my opinion, the Annam Grill restaurants are an exciting and promising concept that has already proven itself twice (…and certainly three times or more…) in Munich.

Thanks for the great tip! I do enjoy Vietnamese food because of my Vietnamese roots, but I completely missed Annam. The pictures look really yummy. I hope you'll recommend some more good Vietnamese restaurants to us, because the cuisine is simply unique.
