Aperol, Hugo and snacks – the perfect after-work evening

One highlight after another! I recently told you about the Smokey Mountain BBQ at BMW Welt. Smokey Mountain BBQ at BMW Welt I was able to report on it, and now I was back again to enjoy myself. This time I went to the Biker's Lodge, also located in BMW Welt, for the "Afterwork Sundowner." Until the end of August 2020, you can enjoy summery drinks, long drinks, and snacks every Thursday from 5 pm – pure sunshine included.

Summer drinks and DJ sounds

What could be better than ending a stressful day in the sun with a good drink? – Very few, right? BMW Welt offers the perfect setting with its "Afterwork Sundowner" in the Biker's Lodge, complete with a sun terrace. Upon arrival, you'll be shown to your table (preferably reserved in advance) and can then choose your drinks from the menu. You can pick up your selection yourself at the bar inside, staffed by friendly bartenders, and the perfect snacks to accompany your drink will already be waiting for you at your table.

Relaxing DJ chill-out music with a live DJ plays in the background; you can snack on nuts, pretzel chips, and other treats while enjoying the sunshine under the open sky. Happy hour is from 5 to 6 pm.. For me, the terrace of BMW Welt – divided into the outdoor seating area of the Bavaria and the Biker's Lodge – is one of the most beautiful in the entire city. Combined with fine drinks.

We offer soft drinks; fruit spritzers (blackcurrant, rhubarb, apple) for €3.90; Paulaner beer (lager, wheat beer, shandy, and non-alcoholic) for €3.90; aperitifs (Hugo, Aperol Spritz, Käfer Prosecco Frizzante) for €5.50 or €8.50; cocktails (Gin and Tonic, Cuba Libre) for €10.50 or €9.50; white, rosé, and red wines (Pinot Gris for €27, Käfer Rosé for €33, and Merlot for €3.90/0.1l) as well as coffee drinks (espresso, coffee, cappuccino) from €2.80. All drinks are available for takeaway at the bar.

After-work sundowner: My personal impression

I really enjoyed myself again. I haven't been to after-work events very often before, as I usually end up in restaurants. But now I've got a taste for it and will definitely be back more often. I'd had a pretty stressful day when I visited, and as I sat down at a table with my Aperol Spritz, my companion, and the sun on my face – there are also lounge benches – the stress just melted away. I enjoyed three drinks – a Hugo, an Aperol, and a Cuba Libre – snacked my way through the snack bowls to chill music, and after a few hours, I went home relaxed and in a good mood.

If you enjoy chatting, sipping summer drinks, and relaxing in the sun with loved ones, colleagues, or friends, then the Afterwork Sundowner at the Biker's Lodge in BMW Welt is just the thing for you. I recommend making a reservation. The "Olympiazentrum" subway station is only about 100 meters from the BMW Welt entrance, and you'll find the Biker's Lodge on the second floor.
