Bernbacher Noodles: "The Good Ones" in a New Look | You know I'm a big fan of Bernbacher and therefore of Bavarian noodles. In four parts so far, I've shown you both the Philosophy and History of Bernbacherthe Bernbacher pasta range, the Bernbacher production in Hohenbrunn as well as the new paper packaging from Bernbacher presentedToday marks another milestone for Bernbacher, as their "Die Guten" product line is getting a new look. All "Die Guten" varieties will be available in new, modern packaging later this year.

Now with a new look: Bernbacher's "Die Guten" range of fresh egg pasta

„The Good Ones“ from Bernbacher – a look at the product range

Bernbacher's entire "Die Guten" (The Good Ones) range comprises 33 different varieties in various package sizes. "Die Guten" is Bernbacher's first and therefore oldest product line. One of the first varieties of these popular fresh egg noodles to hit the market was "Die Guten" ribbon and spaghetti noodles – they remain part of the noodle family to this day and are, of course, absolute classics.

Bernbacher's "Die Guten" (The Good Ones) range has had a fresh new look over the past few decades, meaning its packaging has been updated regularly to reflect current trends. Since the beginning of 2022, "Die Guten" has undergone another makeover, and you can look forward to a new and fresh packaging design. Upon inquiry, I learned that the plan is to present all 33 varieties of fresh egg pasta in their new look before the end of this year.

A staple in my pasta cupboard since childhood: "Die Guten" fresh egg alphabet pasta for soup.

Anyone who isn't yet familiar with Bernbacher's "Die Guten" (The Good Ones) product line is missing out. These delicious fresh egg pastas are available in a wide variety of shapes, including macaroni, ribbon, pipe, cordelli, ripponi, cut, short, alphabet, star, braid, shell, snail, spiral, and ring pasta. There's a perfect pasta shape for every occasion and every type of dish. Even classics like spaghetti, penne, Riebele, and various Spätzle varieties are included. Both "Die Guten - Schneckerl" and "Die Guten - Rollini" are among my favorites from Bernbacher's fresh egg pasta range and are always in my pantry.

What's new in Bernbacher's "The Good Guys" series?

The new packaging, with its familiar yellow and red elements and a viewing window on the pasta package, makes it easy to quickly identify Bernbacher's "Die Guten" fresh egg pasta. I also give a thumbs up to the easily readable cooking time for each variety, now prominently displayed on the front of the package. The Nutri-Score, introduced on each "Die Guten" variety, is another new and welcome addition. For those unfamiliar with it, the Nutri-Score is a system that provides nutritional information about the products you buy, using a five-level color and letter scale to give you an overview of each product's nutritional rating. It's best to keep an eye out for it when you're shopping.

Still in yellow and red. Now also with Nutri-Score and immediately recognizable cooking time.

What you can expect in the next article

In the next article, I'll tell you about the upcoming redesign of Bernbacher's "BELLA PASTA" product line. These are their 100% durum wheat pastas. They, too, will soon be getting new packaging. I'll also take a look at which BELLA PASTA varieties already have their new packaging and present the BELLA PASTA range to you. Here's a sneak peek: There are a total of 14 different BELLA PASTA varieties, and all of them will be getting new packaging.

Until then: Next time you're buying pasta, keep an eye out for the new look of Bernbacher's "Die Guten" pasta. I really like the packaging and think the new design perfectly matches Bernbacher's modern image. What about you?
