You're probably all familiar with "ChocQlate," the delicious DIY chocolate kit. I bought one of these kits a while ago and created my first batch of chocolate at home. Admittedly, it didn't turn out quite as well as I'd hoped, but the product itself and the instructions worked perfectly, delivering on their promises. First, a little background on ChocQlate itself. I'm sure you've all tried one of their delicious organic energy bars at least once, or at least held one in your hand. They're definitely worth a bite.
The bars are just one part of ChocQlate's product range. The focus of my article is on the DIY chocolate kits, which you can order in various flavors. I bought the "Scarled Red" DIY chocolate kit (for €14.90). This is here Available. I want to show you in the following pictures how easy it is to make your own chocolate with this set and how simple the whole process is. In my opinion, the sets are also ideal as gifts.
Chocolate production in pictures:
Making the chocolate was very easy. It really only took the 20 minutes stated on the package. Of course, you can decorate the chocolate however you like. The set I chose included a standard chocolate mold. This made three bars of delicious chocolate. If you prefer a more "classic" flavor, feel free to mix the entire jar of syrup into the warm chocolate mixture. Once you've filled the molds with this mixture (you can use other molds), here (Order online), all you have to do is let it harden and your own chocolate is ready. Provided you've let it harden properly, the chocolate is also very easy to remove from the molds.
The vegan chocolate varieties:
If you're not feeling particularly creative, you can also have the ChocQlate team send you their own homemade vegan chocolate. This chocolate isn't just vegan, it's also lactose-free, making it the perfect alternative to milk chocolate. You can choose from six different varieties, all with a smooth melt and a unique flavor. Of course, you can also order the chocolate plain without any special topping (or make your own). The vegan chocolate is made once a week at the ChocQlate factory and consists of five organic ingredients. Orders placed by 9:00 AM on Tuesday will be shipped fresh on Wednesday morning.
Take a look around the ChocQlate website. They offer various DIY kits, including chocolate molds for pouring melted chocolate to harden, and the chocolate bars mentioned above (€2.90 each). They also sell different cocoa bean sets in 100-gram bags starting at €4.90. If you can't get enough of chocolate, ChocQlate also offers three-hour chocolate workshops, ranging from purely knowledge-based sessions to open workshops with plenty of creative freedom.
