The BAYERN BRAND campaign will take place at the Viktualienmarkt from November 8th to 11th, 2023 (daily from 11:00 am to 6:00 pm).

November 8th to 11th, 2023: Meet Bavaria's fine distillers at the BAYERN BRAND event || As in previous years, the BAYERN BRAND event will once again take place at the Viktualienmarkt in Munich. From November 8th to 11th, 2023, numerous Bavarian distillers will present their high-quality brandies, liqueurs, spirits, gins, and whiskies, all produced in Bavaria. You'll have the opportunity to stroll from stand to stand, chat with the distillers, learn all about the craft of fine distilling, sample their products, and purchase your favorites to take home (or under the Christmas tree). I will present to you the supporting program, the highlights and the exhibiting Brenners.

The BAYERN BRAND campaign 2023 at the Viktualienmarkt in Munich

Did you know that the art of distilling fine fruit brandies, liqueurs, and spirits has a long tradition in Bavaria? Thanks to Bavaria's many orchards, laden with fruit – primarily in Franconia, the Lake Constance region, and southeastern Bavaria – numerous high-quality and diverse products are bottled. To preserve this tradition and ensure that the fruits of Bavaria's orchards continue to produce delicious products, Bavarian distillers launched the "BAYERN BRAND – We're passionate about Bavaria!" initiative ten years ago. For these distillers, this initiative is about highlighting their love for their homeland, their connection to their region, and preserving this very special craft.

The upcoming BAYERN BRAND event (from November 8th to 11th, 2023) makes this "all-important feeling of home in a glass" tangible and perceptible for you as visitors, giving you the opportunity to delve deeper into the subject. Learn everything you want to know about fine brandies, liqueurs, and spirits directly from the distillers themselves, take your time to experience just how delicious our "liquid Bavaria" can be, and sample a variety of products. I'm sure that if you're open to the topic, you'll gather wonderful impressions and discover one or more new favorite brandies, liqueurs, spirits, gins, or whiskies. Each spirit has its own unique and incomparable aroma and showcases the qualities of its respective region of Bavaria. Let's take a look at the exhibitors you can look forward to seeing at the Viktualienmarkt starting at 11:00 AM on November 8th, 2023.

The supporting program and exhibitors of the BAYERN BRAND campaign

The Opening of the BAYERN BRAND campaign finds on November 8, 2023 at 11 a.m. Instead, many stalls offer interesting activities, showcase products, and explain the background of distilling. For example, information is provided about the production of fine distillates from rare, traditional orchard fruit varieties; reports are given on the work in Bavarian orchards throughout the four seasons; and the differences between wine yeast, pomace, and grape brandy are discussed.

The distillers themselves will greet you at eight stands and you can daily from 11:00 to 18:00 Products from 13 different exhibitors Get to know, taste and buy (from age 18).

My tip: Take your time and be sure to visit every stand and exhibitor. Each distiller has different products, fascinating stories, and interesting facts to share. Enjoy the exceptionally high quality of brandies, liqueurs, and spirits at all the stands, as all exhibitors have received awards from the BAYERN BRAND competition in recent years. I'm really looking forward to it.

Want to join in? – Great, then we'll definitely see you at the Viktualienmarkt. You can get there by any S-Bahn train as well as the U3 and U6 subway lines (Marienplatz station). There's no entrance fee. Remember to bring your own shopping bag so you can safely transport your purchased brandies, liqueurs, and spirits home. It's worth visiting the BAYERN BRAND event on several days, as not all the distillers will be there on all four days.
