In the usual top quality: The Keller culinary experience world – Now that things are gradually easing up, I'm personally enjoying revisiting my favorite spots for good food, high-quality groceries, and culinary highlights. One of them is Keller's Gourmet World. It's well worth stopping by this delicatessen, browsing, and returning home with delicious treats. The focus is on top-quality, homemade meat and sausage products. But Augustin Keller also offers his guests cheese, wines, antipasti, and much more. I was there, enjoyed the delicious lunch menu, and asked about the latest news from the gourmet world.
Keller Culinary Experience: Familiar top quality, new highlights
For Augustin Keller, the owner and namesake of Keller Gourmet World, quality, transparency, and sustainability remain paramount. Only the finest foods are offered, and only the highest quality meat is processed and sold to you. This naturally includes a welcoming and comfortable atmosphere and an attractively designed seating area for you as a guest or visitor. You probably remember: I told you about my visit to Langenbach and the story of Keller Gourmet World a while ago (Read more hereBut what's new since my last visit?
The quality of every single food item, along with a passion for craftsmanship and production, remains the top priority here. In the world of culinary delights, you won't find anything at the counter, on the shelves, or in the display area that doesn't adhere to this credo. This starts in the grilling area, where you can admire a "Monolith" grill, continues with the wine racks and the deli counter, and extends all the way to the lunch dishes, which are attractively presented. Monolith is the grilling expert and Augustin Keller's partner when it comes to perfectly grilling their cuts of meat, sausages, and more. Here you can see a genuine professional grill from Monolith. Of course, the team on-site will also answer all your questions about grilling, grill selection, and grilling meat. In fact, at Keller's world of culinary delights, personalized service that goes beyond the usual standard is the norm.
Be sure to check out the expanded wine selection, which spans several fully stocked shelves. This demonstrates the store's commitment to quality over quantity when it comes to wine. The shelves are stocked exclusively with hand-selected wines from winemakers and producers who also place great emphasis on top quality – such as the wines from Artur Toifl in Rohrendorf, Austria. The wine selection focuses primarily on German and South Tyrolean wines.
A perennial highlight at Augustin's remains the immensely popular "Burger Thursday," which features a fantastic burger every week at lunchtime. Always different and consistently topped with the finest meat and fresh ingredients or vegetables, in my opinion, few burgers can rival its quality and flavor. Anyone who knows what good meat should taste like will understand after the first bite that I'm not exaggerating. Oh, and another great feature: the extensive cheese selection. From the Tegernsee natural cheese dairy, they offer a variety of fine cheeses, such as the popular aged mountain cheese or a very special, refined Camembert. It's best to ask at the counter for recommendations on the current highlights. Augustin always has something special on offer and is practically waiting for guests eager to taste and discover truly excellent products. In my opinion, it's most enjoyable to let yourself be guided and automatically understand and appreciate what makes a good piece of meat and high-quality ingredients so special.
Last but not least! One of the absolute highlights of Feinkost Keller remains the large dry-aging room. Since the opening of this gourmet food emporium, it has been a real eye-catcher and is always stocked with the finest beef and Stauferico sirloin steaks. A look inside the glass-walled room is well worth it, where you can admire cuts of meat that have been aged for four to six weeks. You'll rarely find high-quality dry-aged meat of this caliber – try it for yourself.
My personal tip: Be sure to buy the "Gustini" salami from the deli counter to take home, or the Camembert – a really good salami with "edible mold" and an incredibly unique flavor. Stop by, it's worth a visit for every foodie!
