It's easy to navigate, and you can start shopping right away. Ordering is simple, intuitive, and straightforward. Once on the website, you can easily browse through the different categories that getnow offers. My goal was to shop online for around €80, buying a mixed selection of items from various categories. I ordered some cheese, fresh burrata, Italian ham, fresh bread, snacks and drinks, and basically anything I enjoy. Fish also ended up in my cart. Cantuccini, fruit slices, and a little chocolate were quickly found and added to my shopping cart after selecting the desired quantity.

Everything is listed clearly again after the purchase.

The search function is also very easy to use. You can either find your desired groceries by scrolling through the various categories, or you can enter your product name in the search bar at the top. For example, you type "bread," and then everything related to bread—even in a more general sense—will appear. This way, you can quickly find out if a product isn't available—which is what happened to me with porridge, for example 🙁. I really enjoyed browsing through the categories, which I found to be quite uniquely named and structured. "Themed Worlds," "Pantry," "Everything for the Bowl," and "Special Offers" are just a few examples.

Once your shopping cart is full, the process continues just as easily and intuitively. Create a user account, enter your details, select your delivery date and payment method (PayPal, etc.), and your order is sent out. Afterwards, you'll receive both a confirmation email and a clear and concise list on the website detailing everything you've purchased. Even after paying, I didn't close the window immediately. Instead, I browsed through the categories, looking for a few more treats for my next shopping trip – just like strolling through a new supermarket, checking out what's on offer. Now all I had to do was wait – my delivery was scheduled for the next day.

My order arrived just 12 minutes late. I really appreciated the minimal packaging waste. The bottles (wine and balsamic vinegar) were handed to me straight from the cooler; the rest of the order was packed in simple white paper bags and given to me. No cardboard, no Styrofoam, or anything like that. Even my frozen fish from Iglo was delivered in its own bag, as it had been kept chilled during transit. Thumbs up! None of the products I ordered were missing. I paid €80.55 for everything, with no shipping costs.

Evaluation of delivery and order

The getnow online shop is very clearly laid out and easy to use. Categories are selected via the button in the top search bar and are further divided into subcategories. Everything is logically structured and easy to find even without prior knowledge. I would appreciate it if the current value in the shopping cart in euros were displayed while shopping. Currently, you have to click on the shopping cart to see the total. However, there is then the option to click "continue shopping" at the bottom, which takes you back to the getnow homepage. It would also be helpful if "related products" were displayed when searching for, say, "cucumbers" and wanting to click on a similar product instead of the one I selected. Currently, you have to click "back" to see all the products again.

Otherwise, in my opinion, there's nothing to criticize about the so-called "user journey," meaning the ease of use from accessing the website to submitting the order. The expiration dates were also correct. (Often, supermarkets like to use the "trick" of delivering food items that are close to their best-before date. That wasn't the case here.) Price-wise, you come out about the same, or even slightly cheaper depending on the product, than with your everyday supermarket shopping. Sure, you can find individual products cheaper here and there, but you get everything delivered to your door with just a few clicks. Thumbs up for getnow from me! I would and will definitely use getnow again.
