Wine dinner in October 2018 This fantastic restaurant will be hosting the "Weinmahleins" (Wine Meal) event once a month at a different restaurant. The event features wonderful menus, always with perfectly paired wines and a winemaker from the respective winery on site. I did some research beforehand and asked the brasserie what we can expect as guests of "Weinmahleins" in October.

October 2018: Wine dinner at Brasserie Colette Tim Raue

If you secure a spot at Weinmahleins, you'll be dining at the Munich branch of Michelin-starred chef Tim Raue. This Friday evening, Mastercard Priceless Munich and the city magazine inMünchen present Weinmahleins for the ninth consecutive year. Located in the Glockenbach district, the chic brasserie serves French classics with a modern twist, always bearing the distinctive signature of Michelin-starred chef Raue. Known for his skillful interplay of sweet, sour, and spicy flavors, Tim Raue's creations surprise with both classic brasserie fare and sophisticated original dishes. In addition to the à la carte option, a monthly changing menu is also offered, featuring a variety of new dishes. The atmosphere and ambiance of the tastefully decorated restaurant are a blend of industrial chic and modern-classic brasserie elements. Guests are seated on repurposed benches from a French train, and wherever you look, numerous details contribute to a harmonious overall impression with a touch of France.

A look at star chef Tim Raue

Tim Raue is among the absolute elite of Michelin-starred cuisine. Originally from humble beginnings in Kreuzberg, Raue earned his first Michelin star at "Restaurant 44," after having previously cooked at establishments such as Restaurant First Floor, Rosenbaum, and Kaiserstuben. Today, he is world-renowned for his modern Asian fusion cuisine and runs several of his own restaurants (Ma/Hotel Adlon, Uma, La Soupe Populaire, and Tim Raue (2 Michelin stars)). With the Munich-based Brasserie Colette – also located in Berlin and Konstanz – he indulges his passion for French brasserie cuisine once again.

For pure enjoyment in a glass, look no further than the Aufricht winery on Lake Constance. In 2016, the winery won first place in the German Red Wine Awards presented by the trade magazine Vinum; on October 26th, the winemaker will personally present and introduce these wines. He will also be available to answer any questions you may have about wine and wine selection at the "Wine Dinner" event.
