Sissi was considered the most beautiful woman of her time, cared little for imperial etiquette, and yet was a bird in a gilded cage at the royal court. She wrote poetry, cultivated her beauty, and enjoyed sometimes extreme walks as well as various love affairs. The empress's life was even more unconventional and exciting than many imagine. All this and much more will be presented at this year's first storytelling dinner at the Buchenhain Forest Inn in the Antonius Room by the Author and storyteller Wilma Pfeiffer You will dine in an undisturbed setting and be entertained between courses with fascinating anecdotes from Sissi's life.

As our guest, you can look forward not only to the Sissi stories, but also to a wonderful menu. Dinner begins at 6:30 pm with a duck consommé with pistachio dumplings, followed by winter leaf salads with sautéed mushrooms. The main course features grilled veal fillet medallions with parsnip and carrot vegetables and Duchess potatoes. The storytelling dinner concludes with the "Sissi" crepe.
