FOOD & LIFE from March 8th to 12th, 2023 at the Munich Trade Fair Center || "After rain comes sunshine!" as the saying goes. FOOD & LIFE Trade Fair 2023 – March 8th to 12th, 2023
FOOD & LIFE wouldn't be Munich's most popular food fair if it didn't once again offer exciting new highlights in the form of numerous exhibitors, products, and culinary delights. Once you arrive at the FOOD & LIFE fair (March 8-12, 2023, Munich Exhibition Center, Hall B3), you'll find not only delicious coffee, wonderful oils, herbs, and spices, but also high-quality wines, a wide variety of cheeses, locally brewed beers and spirits, as well as local food artisans and manufacturers. Numerous creative innovations from the food startup scene, represented by 22 different startups, will also be part of the fair.
This year, GHM is organizing FOOD & LIFE for the first time in conjunction with the International Crafts Fair, which will take place concurrently with FOOD & LIFE in the adjacent halls. In addition to the approximately 150 exhibitors, I am personally very much looking forward to a few special features of FOOD & LIFE:
The cooking stage of FOOD & LIFE is back!
Those of you who are die-hard FOOD & LIFE fans will remember it from previous years: the popular cooking stage with its exciting program, entertaining cooking shows, and inspiring culinary experts. I'm absolutely thrilled that it's back again this year and that the renowned cooking and kitchen experts are returning to the FOOD & LIFE cooking stage to share exciting tips for your own kitchen. The program will cover topics such as how to make the perfect sourdough starter or fantastic vegan cakes, what the hottest Easter baking trends are this year, and how to create seemingly elaborate macarons and sugar flowers in no time.
As a gourmet, I am also particularly looking forward to the celebrity chefs (Bobby Bräuer and Franz Keller with “Kitchen without Borders”, Vitus Winkler with “Golden Circle”, Hans-Jörg Bachmaier and Michael Huber), who cook on stage for us, the trade fair visitors.
There's also plenty on offer in liquid form on the cooking stage, including demonstrations of how to create sophisticated cocktails and how to prepare them in a home bar with a few tricks. complete stage program You can see it here. There are already a few red crosses marked in my calendar for this.

Bobby Bräuer will also be wielding his cooking spoon for the trade fair audience with “Kitchen without Borders“.
Attention all baking fans – it's time to bake!
Another key theme at FOOD & LIFE this spring is baking! Numerous exhibitors will be providing visitors with sweet treats and baked goods. For example, Munich-based pastry chef Christiane Bergmeier will be showcasing her art of baking and decorating cupcakes at the fair, creating magical masterpieces. “Caketastic” Handmade fresh cakes, cupcakes, tarts and desserts – all with locally sourced ingredients. The start-up „"Sweet tooth"“ From Regensburg, however, the focus is entirely on vegan treats, bringing mini ice cream cakes with a baked almond-oat base and ice cream filling. These contain no animal products whatsoever, but plenty of nuts, fruit, and superfoods. Also new this year is the exhibitor well-known among cake fans in Munich. „"Cake gossip"“. Many of you are probably already familiar with the delicious cakes from the "social bakery." With the support of the Höflinger bakery, Kuchentratsch employs around 50 baking grandmas and grandpas who can sell their finished baked goods through Kuchentratsch.
As you can see, there's lots to discover and try. So come with an empty stomach (and a shopping basket) – it will be colorful, interesting, and absolutely delicious!
