FOOD & LIFE Trade Fair 2023 (March 8th to 12th, 2023) – the start-ups || The popular food fair „FOOD & LIFE“ is almost here and will be starting up again – this year for the first time twice a year. Round one starts in just a few days and you can discover FOOD & LIFE at the Munich trade fair grounds from March 8th to 12th.

In a first Article about FOOD & LIFE 2023 I've already told you about the most important details and highlights of the trade fair. As promised, today I'll introduce you to the 22 food start-ups exhibiting in March.

Overview: the FOOD & LIFE trade fair 2023 from March 8th to 12th, 2023

The popular food fair "FOOD & LIFE" will now take place twice a year – for the first time from March 8th to 12th, coinciding with the international crafts fair at the Munich Trade Fair Center. During the five days of the fair, there's plenty to see and do, including interesting people, products, and culinary delights. Around 150 exhibitors will present their fantastic products, food trends, and new offerings. Discover high-quality coffee, exquisite oils, unusual spices and herbs, wines, local beers and spirits, cheeses, and much more.

The exhibiting food start-ups and their products

A large part of the upcoming FOOD & LIFE trade fair will once again be dedicated to exhibiting startups and their creative ideas. In the FOOD START.up Area, look forward to exciting new products, innovative food trends, and sophisticated innovations. These include, for example, a gin made with the world's rarest tea, beetroot snacks, locally produced organic quinoa, and much more.

Besides enjoyment, the startups continue to focus on sustainability, climate, conscious thinking, and individualized, healthy nutrition. Find out now which startups are participating. All of the startups listed below will automatically be entered into this year's Newcomer Award, which will be drawn and awarded on-site by voting for your favorite startup (drawing on Friday, March 10th at 4:45 pm on stage in Hall B3). The prize includes an egoFM advertising package; a photo shoot by food photographer Caroline Martin combined with a feature in the magazine "Lust auf Genuss" (Craving Pleasure); and a quick check from StartinFOOD – an individual consultation on the startup's growth. Organic "Beet Jerky" and seasoning sauce from the start-up "Walding Foods"„

– Walding Foods A company from Freising produces fermented soy sauces, burgers, miso, and fish alternatives made from mushrooms. The start-up also offers probiotic organic "beet jerky" made from fermented beetroot, similar to beef jerky.
– Big Five Distribution offers you top-quality macadamia and avocado oil.
- At Mudda Nature We offer high-quality whole grain quinoa, quinoa pasta and flour, grown in Germany, free from chemical pesticides and mineral fertilizers.
– Anyone who is a fan of delicious vegan spreads and pastes should definitely stop by the WL Gourmet stand.
– The „Interfort Company“ offers local products from Ghana, such as high-quality oils.
Delicious oat drink powder, also available in chocolate flavor, awaits you at the Berlin start-up „Reoat“At the stand – you can mix your own oat drink in no time at all.”.

Aromatic organic fruit tea from "Layana Life"„

– The Dresden-based start-up „Hydroherb“ produces beverage and food flavorings from natural ingredients.
– Wish Eater, also from Dresden, however, offers you lovingly selected gifts from their own gift manufactory.
– Do you like healthy bread? – Then check out the stand of „Loggä“ Over! There you'll find bread baking mixes made from high-quality ingredients that can be prepared quickly and easily.
- At "„Layana Life“From Holzkirchen you can discover high-quality and particularly aromatic organic teas in various varieties – good for the body, mind and soul.
– Anyone who appreciates good gin and wants to discover a truly special one should taste the gin from the „The First Flush Distillery“From Munich. The first gin made from the rare Silver Needle tea (the most expensive and healthiest white tea), combined with Szechuan pepper, green mango, cardamom, barberries and of course juniper berries.
– Delicious, sparkling wine spritzers made from regional ingredients are produced by the Munich start-up „Morelifeeinlife“here.
– Brandy made from organic lemons, herbs and spices is available at „Le Gillard“from Poing.
– The finest organic nuts and fruit mixes from Sauerlach await you at the stand of „Heynuts“on you.”.
– The start-up Dekodray provides a refreshing, tangy drink in a can with its aromatic „Props Lemonade“with blueberries and lemons.”.

Delicious! Jasmine-lime iced tea from Yalite!

– Premifair from Munich presents under the name „Paccari“sustainable chocolate.”.
– The Freising-based start-up „Yalite“ offers you delicious jasmine-lime iced tea.
– „Frudist“ produces top-quality freeze-dried fruits, ideal as a snack or topping for your breakfast bowl.
– For cake lovers, heavenly cake creations from Munich are available from the start-up „Caketastic“ ready.”.
– „Artwork“However, it lets you immerse yourself in the world of high-quality brandy and presents a modern interpretation of the variant at the trade fair.
– The Seeshaupt-based start-up „Fredel“ presents frozen pestos and sauces made from fresh ingredients.

I personally always check out all the exhibitors, but I'm especially looking forward to the FOOD START.up Area. Now you know that as a FOOD & LIFE visitor, you can expect a truly diverse range of exhibitors, and I hope I've increased your anticipation even more and inspired you to visit starting March 8th.

For anyone who loves food and discovering new things in the food scene even half as much as I do, FOOD & LIFE is an annual must-attend event. Even better, we now have the opportunity to attend twice a year. To reiterate: The spring FOOD & LIFE takes place from March 8th to 12th in Hall B3 (Munich Exhibition Center). You can expect to find more in the adjacent halls (B1, B2, C2, and C3). The International Crafts Fair, the "Crafts & Design" fair and the "Garden Munich" fair are held concurrently.„. (Mark your calendars now: the second FOOD & LIFE trade fair this year will take place in autumn from November 29th to December 3rd, 2023, in parallel with the "Heim+Handwerk" trade fair.)
