Harlachinger Jagdschlössl – event location – You should celebrate life's milestones as they come – I certainly agree. But even the best party and the most fun-filled gathering are only half as enjoyable if the location isn't right. In this context, I'm often asked by you readers, friends, and acquaintances if I know of any good event locations and venues for various occasions. Admittedly, when entering one of the many restaurants, it's often not the first place I look for a venue. But of course, many of them are also ideal event locations and offer this service. Therefore, today I'd like to introduce you to one of my favorite locations and inns for Bavarian cuisine, or rather, break down the options you have for celebrating your event there: the Harlachinger Jagdschlössl.
The Harlaching Hunting Lodge – an event location and inn in one
Anyone who follows me on my website, radio, and TV knows that I rarely miss an opportunity to mention the Harlachinger Jagdschlössl. The focus is on Bavarian cuisine, which includes a fantastic beer garden, friendly service, and always that certain something I find there whenever I'm in town. I won't go into detail here, because if you'd like to learn more about the cuisine, the beer, and the dishes on offer, you can check out my previous articles about the Harlachinger Jagdschlössl. Today's focus is on the various rooms and possibilities that make the Harlachinger Jagdschlössl not only a great inn, but also an ideal event and function location.
The new building
The rooms of the Harlaching hunting lodge
The Harlaching hunting lodge, which opened in 2011, is now divided into various rooms of different sizes following its two-year renovation. It now boasts three differently designed rooms, providing the perfect setting for any size and type of event.
The chic Sissi room
From the heart of the inn, the new building with its cozy atmosphere, complete with a beer fountain, bar, and kitchen in the back, to the inviting and spacious vaulted hall, and the chic Sissi Room, ideal for smaller events, there's plenty on offer. The new building, which seats 120 people, is where I usually eat – partly because of its coziness and atmosphere, and partly because there's always something going on and something to watch. The room is attractive and inviting, furnished with lots of wood and tasteful decorative elements. I've never felt uncomfortable here. Places where you just want to "grab a quick bite and leave" definitely feel different. This makes the room suitable for almost any event and occasion.
The second room – the beautiful Sissi Stüberl – which can accommodate 15 to 40 people depending on the seating arrangement, has its own unique charm and offers various possibilities for designing your event. Depending on the number of guests and the occasion, the Jagdschlössl team will put everything together to suit your needs. Here, too, you'll find clear advantages in terms of charm, ambiance, and the resulting atmosphere during celebrations, meetings, or get-togethers. Be sure to take a look at the elaborately designed wood paneling and the painstakingly handcrafted details – truly unique and special!
The vault
The vaulted room – room number three and also the largest available for rent – accommodates another 66 people. Located opposite the new building, it's somewhat of a counterpart to it. This room is also cozy and suitable for medium-sized events, but in my opinion, it exudes a completely different charm with its arched windows and working 19th-century fireplace. A charming spot for year-round enjoyment, so to speak. Also of interest: Harlachinger Jagdschlössl – an event location 2.0, so to speak. From September 2017, another event space with its own kitchen is planned for the upper floor of this wonderful building. Even more party opportunities! You can book it there for your celebrations, events, private or business functions with up to 40 people and party to your heart's content. Of course, good food and excellent all-around service are included.
In total, the Jagdschlössl, including its newly built beer garden, currently offers space for 420 guests (not including the upstairs room). (From September 2017, this will increase to 460 people). So there's plenty of wood and lots of room to celebrate. One thing all the rooms have in common is, in my opinion, a truly harmonious atmosphere for celebrations. I absolutely hate it when I'm invited somewhere, walk in, and just feel uncomfortable. Do you know that feeling? You just don't want to sit anywhere, the walls are bare, the atmosphere is kind of off, and everything just feels off. At the Jagdschlössl, I promise you, that's definitely not the case.

Without good planning and food – no good party!
Important to know for your events at Harlachinger Jagdschlössl: The on-site team is extremely flexible and offers perfect organization with everything you need. Whether it's a wedding from start to finish, a well-planned corporate event complete with technical setup, a private birthday party with confetti and a screen, or any other occasion – anything is possible. If you're interested, simply discuss your wishes, your menu preferences, and your priorities on-site. It would be the first time the Harlachinger Jagdschlössl team couldn't find a solution. From menu and music to technical equipment and table decorations, right down to flowers and (if necessary) even the groom, Harlachinger Jagdschlössl takes care of everything. 😉
The Harlachinger Jagdschlössl is also flexible when it comes to the culinary aspects of your event. The menu will be discussed with you, the courses reviewed, and the selection compiled according to your wishes. If vegetarians or people with allergies are part of the event, that's no problem either. The menu in this typical Bavarian inn ranges from Bavarian to Northern Italian cuisine, so there's sure to be something to suit every taste and occasion.
Just a "treat" – the beer spritzer at the Schlössl
Special menus or individually tailored highlights during events are also gladly offered. For example, a beef fillet baked in a salt crust. The chef and owner himself then comes to your table, carves the meat, encased in thyme, rosemary, and bacon, from the crust, and arranges it on plates prepared in advance with side dishes for you and your guests. Cool, right? The two [unclear - possibly referring to a specific feature or feature] located in the new building should be no less interesting. Beer fountain of the Harlaching hunting lodge There, you and your friends and relatives can pour your own beer – although this is also possible outside of events via table reservation, especially guests from outside Bavaria are likely to be quite surprised to find themselves able to pour their own. (Finally, a culinary insider tip: Don't miss the steaks from the lava stone grill! Perhaps you could include them in your menu.)
Hard facts
So, we now know: Harlachinger Jagdschlössl – an event location and top-notch inn with fantastic Bavarian cuisine all in one. If you're planning your next event, or perhaps already know someone in your circle who is, then keep my tip in mind and consider the Harlachinger Jagdschlössl. Again: whether it's a wedding, birthday, company party, Grandma's birthday, or a small family gathering with close friends and family – everything works here thanks to the various room sizes and setup options. Spring is just around the corner, and then the secluded and tranquil beer garden and outdoor seating area will offer another option for celebrations. Of course, there's nothing wrong with coming for a meal beforehand and experiencing the beer, beer spritz (be sure to try it!), and the cuisine for yourself.
