Today's post is only indirectly about food. I'm writing about a relatively new shop that sells enchanting items for baking, celebrating, decorating, organizing parties, and more. Just popping in and browsing, looking at everything – even without actually buying anything 😉 – and getting inspired is worthwhile. The shop is called BLUEBOXTREE, and in addition to its successful online store, it has recently opened a physical location in Munich. The (online) shop specializes in unique and stylish products, and it's definitely the place to go if you're looking for gifts, DIY projects, or anything to help with baking, decorating, or simply decorating.
I discovered the shop myself because I was looking for baking pans that were a bit more extravagant and unusual than the standard springform pan. That's how I quickly came across the Blueboxtree website (hereI was delighted to discover that they also have a store here in Munich – at Türkenstraße 76. Far removed from crowded shopping streets and the usual offerings, you can shop in a relaxed and inviting atmosphere at Blueboxtree and indulge yourself. Personally, I prefer stores that offer a curated selection and where it's clear they focus on a particular product category.
Blueboxtree is owned by entrepreneur Sonia Hummitzsch, who grew up in the USA and, even as a child, never missed an opportunity to craft unusual party accessories, homemade box trees made from sweet lollipops, and decorations for children's birthdays, Halloween, Easter, and many other occasions. The newly opened Blueboxtree boutique in Schwabing also offers personalized and professional advice and expert service in addition to its extensive product range. From the outset, the shop was designed to be a kind of showroom, making the product range more accessible and tangible for visitors. I visited the shop and can only say that it's a lot of fun to browse the diverse products. The products are truly unique and can't be found anywhere else. At Blueboxtree, you can definitely buy some one-of-a-kind items. Whether it's antique chocolate molds, beautiful cupcake cases, candy canes, reindeer paper cups, cookie stamps and cutters, or party tableware – you'll find everything you need for the perfect celebration here. This ensures your events are unforgettable and have that certain "something." 🙂
As I wandered through the aisles of the store, I was constantly inspired and felt a bit like Alice in Wonderland: entering a completely unknown world. I highly recommend a visit. I bought myself a very sturdy baking pan with six small cake cups (€41). The pan is truly fantastic. Excellent quality, and it produces wonderful little cakes that, because of their small size, are ideal as gifts or can be decorated in various ways.
The photos will give you an impression of the shop and the products available there. You can see the extensive range in detail online. Here you'll find everything your heart desires for all kinds of special occasions.
The shop is open from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM Tuesday through Friday, and from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM on Saturday. It is closed on Mondays. It can be reached by public transport via city bus 100, tram line 28, or the subway.
I'll be back! Absolutely. A great shop for everything related to celebrating, decorating, baking and crafting.
