That I'm a donut fan should be obvious from my logo – and if you happen to see a pink 1982 Chevrolet driving on the roads in the future, you'd better take a closer look. Fortunately, I recently had the opportunity to try the delicious donuts from the Donutfactory in a wide variety of flavors at the "eat & style" trade fair in Munich, and again recently at the Street Food Festival on Prater Island. Now I want to tell you about them.

First up is the exceptionally unique and extensive selection at the Donut Factory. From unfilled to filled varieties, they offer pretty much everything you can imagine. These popular, palm-sized donuts, originally from the American-Canadian region, can be purchased individually, in convenient boxes of 6 (for €8.70), or boxes of 12 (for €16.70). Whether you prefer filled donuts (€1.80 each) like "blue blueberry," "nougat creamy," or "caramel crunch," or unfilled donuts (€1.50 each) such as "sweet toffee" or "pinky sprinkle," these donuts fly off the shelves. And once the truck pulls up, opens its little mobile shop, and displays the colorful donuts, you'll need to be quick and grab them while you can!.

Extensive selection: Numerous varieties of donuts at the Donut Factory

The donut varieties, and therefore the flavors, change regularly, adapting to the seasons, for example – every donut lover is sure to find something to their liking here. The idea for the Donut Factory came to Caro and Markus during one of their many trips, which also took them through the USA. There, of course, the range of donuts is completely different than in Germany, so they quickly got down to business and the basic idea for the Donut Factory was born. Developing the perfect donut dough took them a lot of time, patience, and inspiration. But the result was worth it in the form of the perfect recipe for donut dough: not too sweet and not at all greasy aftertaste.

What's particularly striking here is the friendly service at the truck. When I arrived, I couldn't decide at first. So many beautiful, mouthwatering donuts – I would have loved to take home every kind... or maybe even twice! Even though the line was long, I received friendly advice and each variety was explained to me again until I finally decided on the contents of my six-donut box. It's not easy with so many choices! 😉 So it's all the more exciting to hear that the Donut Factory plans to launch an online shop in March of this year, ensuring that all donut fans can order online. I can wholeheartedly recommend these donuts! It's no secret that these little treats aren't exactly diet-friendly, but even after eating them (I devoured three in a row! ;-)), I didn't feel completely stuffed or overloaded with sugary, fatty "stuff.".

It's quite obvious that a lot of time is invested in perfecting the dough, icing, and filling recipes. They use select, regional ingredients and short production times, and the entire donut range is made in-house – the perfect combination of traditional American pastry and the "Made in Germany" seal of approval. But I have to be completely honest with you: once you start, be warned: they're seriously addictive! I thought the donuts tasted absolutely fantastic, and you're definitely in the right place if you're planning a special private or business event and are looking for some sweet yet convenient snacks.
