The ideal street food for everyday (stressful) life – Thai Cubes – I recently told you about the Thai Cubes from Kitchen Joy Currently available in six different varieties, these are authentic Thai dishes with varying levels of spiciness, packaged in small, microwaveable cubes that are ready in minutes, filling, and simply delicious. And that's exactly what we're talking about today: The Thai Cubes as street food for sunny days outdoors as well as Lunch or dinner on busy days, where things should be quick and easy – and of course still taste good.

Kitchen Joy's Thai Cubes – ideal for stressful days

Who hasn't been there? – The day has been packed with tasks, appointments, and errands since morning. The clock ticks on, and before you know it, it's late afternoon to early evening, and our rumbling stomach stubbornly reminds us that it hasn't had anything to digest yet. Since I've experienced this less-than-ideal state of my body several times now, I've made it a habit – no matter how stressful the days are – to eat lunch and to eat more consciously and healthily in the evenings. Admittedly, since weekdays are usually stressful during the day, I don't have the time at lunchtime, nor the energy in the evenings to spend hours chopping, preparing, and cooking – no thanks! 😉

Finished eating? Toss it in the recycling and you'll have your hands free…

That's one of the reasons I've been such a big fan of the various Thai Cubes since my first test at the beginning of March this year. They're perfect for stressful days like the ones I just described. They're ready in just a few steps (take them out of the freezer, remove the protective film, open the cardboard lid, and microwave them for a few minutes) and give me the feeling, both during and after eating, that I've eaten something "real." Be honest, how awful is it when you're hungry and then prepare something unhealthy or not even particularly tasty, just because you want to eat something? Terrible, right? – Thai Cubes are the perfect solution. Even in the evenings, for example, when I get home from an appointment and am hungry, the little cube is ready in a flash (or in a pot – that works too). You can use the preparation time to freshen up a bit after a long day and then enjoy delicious, authentic Thai food in just a few minutes.

Summer is coming – Thai Cube as the perfect street food

The cubes are also perfect as street food. Yes, really! I've taken advantage of the few sunny days we've had in April to pop a cube in the microwave, change into my street clothes, and then head out into the sun – with my Thai cube. Armed with the right sunny spot and a wooden fork or chopsticks (…Thais don't eat these kinds of dishes with chopsticks…), you can enjoy your chosen Thai cube outdoors under a blue sky, then dispose of the empty cardboard container (your to-go container) and have your hands free.

For me, Thai Cubes are the ideal snack, a lunch I look forward to, and a delicious dinner that saves me from a long day of cooking. Plus, Thai Cubes are light on the stomach, and even on hot summer days, you'll still feel great afterward. So go and buy some Thai Cubes – they've often been a lifesaver for me and my stomach and palate. In Munich, you can find them in all varieties at REWE City Dell, for example.
