Street Food Friday at the Munich Press House
New since January 2017 – Street Food Friday at the Munich Press House. It doesn't always have to be a restaurant visit. Get your fill at the street food market. Since January 2017, this has once again been possible in Munich. Every first Friday of the month, a comprehensive Street Food Friday takes place at the Munich Press House in the canteen, event hall, and parking lot (Paul-Heyse-Straße 2-4, 80336 Munich). Everyone can find something to eat here, and the diverse culinary delights are affordable even on a budget. A selection of the best street food vendors with their food trucks, various food stalls, drinks, artists, as well as music and entertainment will be on site.
Which street food vendors are on site?
As mentioned, every first Friday of the month is a delicious one. This is thanks to the diverse range of food trucks, offering something from every culinary tradition: Asian cuisine, burgers, burritos, smoothies, and Bavarian specialties. Each market will feature different vendors, so the same food trucks and street food vendors won't be there every month.
Some examples from last January's Street Food Friday:
– KoBo with Korean specialties or Korean Beef Bowl including juicy beef, rice, fried egg and vegetable toppings
– Grillin me Softly with a variety of premium burgers and great side dishes
– AMIDORI with vegetarian dishes, free from soy, based on 100% protein, such as regionally grown peas, grains and lupins
– MESOB Cuisine with Ethiopian dishes – vegetarian and prepared with meat – or also tea and coffee.
– Eatbox with South American burritos including fresh salsa, various chutneys and top-quality chips
– Grill Bill with unusual burgers, hot dogs and currywurst in various versions
– Thai Wok with healthy and partially vegan Thai dishes – rice or noodles and lots of vegetables and spices
– Curry-O-City with Indian street food including naan bread from the tandoori oven and numerous different curry dishes
–Buuz with Mongolian specialties in the form of steamed dumplings with various fillings (meat or vegetarian) as well as lassi, tea and ayran
– The intolerant Isi The menu includes dishes for guests with food intolerances: gluten-free, low-fructose or lactose-free options are available.
– Mr. Fish and Chips Mobile, The Blunch Kitchen (Read more here), My Idigo Contains Coffee, etc.
The next Street Food Friday will take place on February 3rd and March 3rd, 2017, at Paul-Heyse-Straße 2-4, 80336 Munich. Numerous other locations in Munich are also planned for Street Food Fridays or similar events. Fans of this culinary culture have plenty to look forward to. Another clear advantage: you'll get a good meal at fair prices. Entry to the grounds and street food market is, of course, free.
