For this, I took a closer look at your feedback on the previous reviews and discovered that Asian cuisine, and therefore Asian food delivery, is very popular. Of course, if you enjoy it so much (…just like me…), then I'm happy to test another Asian restaurant for you. This time, however, I wanted to try a good mix of dishes: Asian noodles, sushi, and curry were all on my wish list.

So I clicked my way onto the portal "„Delivery Hero“"The sheer number of different Asian restaurants that deliver to my postal code area is fantastic. The selection is huge. To my great delight, there are now also more and more Japanese restaurants. And of course, there are numerous Indian restaurants and various sushi delivery services. After a while, I decided on the delivery service "Sushi Chi." Sushi Chi is a small shop with a delivery service located in the Ludwigvorstadt district. The menu offers fresh and—as I now know—very delicious sushi, various salads, soups, and appetizers, as well as noodle, meat, and fish dishes. A few select Indian specialties, such as chicken curry or beef vindaloo, are also available. I really liked the menu with its wide selection, and especially the udon noodles, so I decided to order from Sushi Chi.".

Food review

The menu, like any delivery service on Lieferheld, is clearly laid out and divided into different categories. My companion and I opted for six vegetarian spring rolls (€2.50) and yakitori, which consists of three skewers of chicken in yakitori sauce (€4.90). The spring rolls, with their sweet and sour dipping sauce, were exactly as you'd expect, but the chicken skewers on a bed of lettuce were unfortunately quite dry. Since we were ordering from Lieferheld, we decided to order a different brand of yakitori. last Lieferheld order Since we also ordered yakitori skewers, we had a good comparison, and the yakitori from last time was significantly better. I wouldn't recommend it here. Besides the rolls and skewers, they also offer baked shrimp, dumplings, prawn crackers, and other appetizers. As mentioned, the main course selection was quite varied. There were several inside-out maki rolls with avocado, cream cheese, and sesame seeds (6 pieces | €4.90) and "kappa" rolls with cream cheese and sesame seeds (6 pieces | €4.50); chicken curry (chicken in curry sauce) from the Indian section (€9.20); curry with vegetables, shrimp, and peanut sauce (€11.90); and my beloved fried udon noodles with shrimp (€11.90). The udon noodles were fantastic. I didn't even share. 🙂 A good portion, very fresh and attractively presented; the noodles weren't sticky and were loosely arranged. The chicken curry was also good with plenty of meat, however, the portion was a bit too small overall, and my companion made some rice on the side. I tried a spoonful of the curry and found it too spicy, of course—but that's more down to my palate—but otherwise it was fine. The curry with shrimp and peanut sauce was also fresh and intensely flavorful. The sauce was plentiful in this case, and with the rice, it made for a thoroughly delicious dish.

The chosen dessert was a complete departure from the usual order. We ordered coconut balls (€2.90) and mango cream (€2.90). The mango cream was delicious, very intense in flavor, and could be easily scraped off in layers with a small spoon. Its consistency was similar to a sorbet. I have to admit, I didn't find the coconut balls right away, as they were floating in a small cup in about 7-8 cm of coconut milk. At first, I thought the wrong dessert had been delivered, since coconut cream was also on the menu, but that wasn't the case. The two, as it turned out, very sticky and small balls were floating in the milk, had a very strange texture, and weren't particularly smooth. While my companion had the misfortune of experiencing the yakitori skewers as an appetizer, I didn't quite manage to enjoy the dessert.

My personal conclusion

All in all, the food from Sushi Chi was okay. It wasn't outstanding, nor was there much to complain about. The dessert and appetizer left a little to be desired, but the rest was tasty, hot, attractively presented, and tasted as expected. Of course, as has often been mentioned, the presentation is the same as dining in and seeing the food on your plate. Nevertheless, there are significant differences in the appearance of delivered food, and Sushi Chi did a pretty good job. The delivery time was also perfectly acceptable. It's important to remember that the stated delivery time (in this case, 55 minutes from the time of ordering) includes cooking time. Cooking and delivering within 40 minutes (it was even faster) is definitely reasonable for the Ludwigvorstadt-Ramersdorf route, especially for sushi and hot main courses. The entire order cost €55, I gave the friendly delivery driver a €2 tip, and we enjoyed our meal. So if you're looking for a good supplier of sushi (there was absolutely nothing to complain about there) and Asian food, Sushi Chi is a good choice. For Indian dishes, you'd be better off with, for example, [insert name here]. here order.
